From Zenit:
WASHINGTON, D.C., OCT. 26, 2007 (Zenit.org).- The U.S. bishops’ video promoting priestly vocations — called by one viewer “the best look at the priesthood I have ever seen on film” — was named winner of the Gabriel Award.
“Fishers of Men,” an 18-minute DVD that is part of a vocational recruitment project launched last year by the U.S. episcopal conference, received today the Gabriel Award in California, given by the Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals.
If you haven’t seen this video, be prepared. This is a stunning and truly moving video calling real men to the priesthood. Remarkable.

What a fabulous video! It should be shown at every church! We have six sons (and five daughters) and I can’t wait to show them this post. Our oldest son is married, and the youngest is 4 mo. old, but I’ll have them all watch this!!! Thanks

Grassroots Films has a new film to be released called, “The Human Experience”. I saw the premiere; very powerful, like this film.

Patrick:
Thank you so much for posting this in it’s entirety. This is one of the most stunning “vocation builders” I’ve ever witnessed. Two months ago my family and I watched it and were in awe. The cinematography was simply amazing!
I have a theory…if there were a way to purchase 18 minutes of prime-time television and show this video; we would see such a change in societal perceptions of the priesthood. What a powerful witness to the strength of these Fishers Of Men
