In yet another example of priests gone wild, the pastor of St. John Vianney Parish and former priest-secretary to now-retired Milwaukee Archbishop Rembert G. Weakland, was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor possession of cocaine.

Father Leonard Van Vlaenderen, 49, was arrested by St. Francis police after they got a report about 6:20 p.m. Saturday of a suspicious car in the parking lot of a vacant commercial building. Tire tracks indicated that the car had been driven on the sidewalk for at least one block before stopping.

If priests were allowed to marry, this never would’ve happened. Nobody has ever seen someone who was married driving drunk or high or anything? This priest’s drug problems and his inability to marry are obviously connected. Why can’t those old men in Rome see the truth?

Why won’t the Church just get into the 21st century and let priests marry? It will protect pedestrians everywhere. How long do we all have to be in danger of cracked up priests driving on sidewalks? Please help me protect pedestrians all over the world and work with me to allow priests to marry. Help priests say no to crack and yes to marriage.
