The Society of St. Barbara led me to the website of the St. John’s Catholic Newman Center at the University of Illinois. On their website is a Stained Glass Window Gallery which they describe as “beautiful representations of significant stories of our faith.”
Below is a sampling of the windows that they have there. Pretty amazing for a University Chapel.

Beautiful stained glass in an educational institution – what a proper and fitting combination! It does make you wonder what the rest of the chapel looks like.

The chapel is beautiful. The Catholic student body there is more beautiful. The Newman Center at U of I is a huge source of vocations to the priesthood and religious life. I can’t remember the exact figure, but it was something like 60+ men and women in the last 10 years who went on to seminary or religious life after leaving the chapel. The University of Illinois should definitely be on the list of parents/high school students who are looking for a college where the Catholic faith is taught and lived (via the Newman Center). When I was a student there I was even able to take some Catholic courses for University credit (I can’t verify if this arrangement is still in place).

These stained glass windows are just stunning. As a collector of holy cards I’m always amazed at how the art of pictures can add to our religious inspiration.
Please come and see my Holy Cards for Inspiration blog. If you would like to use any of the over 350 holy cards already posted (I add one every day) please help yourself.
