Here’s the line to take away from Susan Sarandon’s endorsement of Barack Obama: Obama’s Like A Pregnant Woman at an Abortion Rally.
Yup. And I think she’s trying to help.
Sarandon was a big backer of John Edwards but now Obama’s the man. On Tavis Smiley’s show on PBS, she did two things. One -she endorsed Obama. Two- She confused the heck out of me.
Well, I’m going to back Obama. But I hope — I think that he, as a symbol, has really excited people, and he’s definitely confusing to everyone who really hates America for hating Muslims because a name like Obama and a black man, they’re probably going to go “Oh, wait a minute — What?” It’s kind of like when you’re out on the line for freedom to have an abortion and you’re incredibly pregnant. They just can’t quite figure it out.
So I think he definitely has convinced people that he stands for change and for hope, and I can’t wait to see what he stands for.
That last line is my favorite. Sarandon’s convinced that Obama stands for hope and change and then she adds she can’t wait to see what he stands for.
I love these people.

“…and I can’t wait to see what he stands for…”
Pathetic, really pathetic.

The way she embraces and publicizes her ignorance is astounding.

Sarandon’s pregnant woman analogy falls flat. Is a pregnant woman picketing on the side of “choice” an apt comparison to Barack? What is this supposed to bring to mind? Danger? Callousness? Power?
Probably power. Power is the goal and aspiration of the women’s libbers (as my mother in law calls them). Thanks Nietzche.
But the image of the pregnant woman rallying for the cause of killing children brings to my mind the image of Michael Jackson holding his child over the balcony, or the 300 lb. wife beater giving his little lady what she had comin’. This isn’t power. This is sadistic brutality. The devil grins. Angels weep.
Is Barack a brutal killer or what?

hmmm..maybe it means that most people have no idea what being a true feminist actually means. It certianly should not mean that having an abortion is the best we as a society can do for a woman!
She indeed gave us a despiceble analogy and was totally clueless about it.

I could be wrong but it sounds a bit like Susan may have been listening to Tom Cruise’s scientology indoctrination video because she’s making about as much sense as him.

I have no idea what Ms. Sarandon tried to say- but that is no surprise-I haven’t understood anything she has said since she decided she mattered enough to “endorse” anyone.
She matters as much as I do- 1 vote per person!
