Gianna Talone Sullivan claims to have visions of the Virgin Mary.
I am not one of those immediate skeptics that thinks that any and all visions or claims of apparitions are de facto frauds if they don’t rhyme with Fatima. With that said, I am not a maroon or a gull a bull. The following strains credulity.
Ms. Sullivan has the distinction of have a achieved a rare kibosh from the local diocese.
On September 8, 2000, the Archdiocese of Baltimore issued a statement with the approval of Cardinal William H. Keeler, indicating that it “finds no basis” for the alleged apparitions and messages of the Blessed Virgin Mary which Gianna Talone-Sullivan claimed to receive during the Thursday evening prayer services at St. Joseph in Emmitsburg.
In the wake of the latest “message” from that seems rather prescient.
Let me stipulate that while I am confident that we will soon be on the receiving end of some very serious biblical comeuppance, I have my doubts as to whether the Blessed Mother would describe things this way. (guvment conspiracy included for no charge.)
Children, for the last 20 years I have oftentimes spoken of “change.” I have told you that there is no time for fear; there is only time for change. You must know by now that I have recently spoken of an arising of “two suns.” When you see the two suns on the horizon, you must know that this is a time of change, a time of this new beginning about which I have spoken to you before. After you see the two suns, there is only a short time before you will see a tremendous change in weather. After this, as you know, there are more changes to come.
Children, God did not create only the Earth. God is the Creator of the cosmos, with its many galaxies, many orbits, different stars and different planets. God is the Creator! There are other planets like earth, far beyond your understanding.
I can tell you this: Even your governments and the Church authorities already have knowledge of the stars aligning and its implications upon you. You must not fear but must be prepared, primarily spiritually.
After awhile, you will see a time when there is another body in orbit around your solar system, coming between Earth and the Sun and leading to tremendous devastation. Approximately 60-70% of the world’s population, as you know it, will cease. Of those who survive, 60% of them could die of disease and starvation.
…
But I can assure you that secretly those in governmental positions around the world and Church authorities all know.
I didn’t know that there would be math involved. Ok, let’s see. multiply six billion by .65. Take the result and divide by…. carry the one … and ummm. Anyway. Lotsa people in the cemetarial suburbs.
Hint to would be pseudo-prophets, the less specific you are the better. Verifiable results are not your friend. I don’t think, although I could be wrong on this, that Jesus uses his mother to send messages with the words “Approximately 60-70%”. Just not catchy enough.
Try for instance “The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.”
Now that has a certain style. “World to blow up Tuesday” just doesn’t have the same ring to it. If you are going to be a doomsday prophet, at least have some style.

The end of the Our Lady of Emmitsburg Movement is here! At least as far as the Archdiocese of Baltimore is concerned.
The following letter was insert in the church bulletin of every Catholic Church in Maryland this weekend. The letter from Archbishop O’Brien states that she is not to disseminate in any way, by her own person or by any other person, by electronic means or any other means, on any church property or in any public or private place any messages. He then warns others not to disseminate her messages because it is harmful to the church and he hopes that this will stop the confusion of the faithful.
To the Christian faithful of the Archdiocese of Baltimore:
Over the course of several years, information has been made available which suggests that messages and locutions have been given to Gianna Talone-Sullivan by the Virgin Mother of the Lord. These alleged messages and locutions are supposedly to be shared with members of the Christian faithful. Recent messages and activity by those who support Mrs. Talone-Sullivan have created confusion among many and division in our Wishes and our Archdiocese.
On more than one occasion, the Archdiocese of Baltimore has conducted investigations into these matters in an effort to protect the faith and. good morals of the Christian faithful. Each investigation has concluded that there is nothing of significance to be found the messages and locutions. Most recently, the results of the investigation were submitted for the consideration of the Holy See’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. After thorough study and careful consideration, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith concluded that the Archbishop of Baltimore was in a position to issue a decree concluding the investigation and declaring that there was nothing supernatural about any of the messages or locutions. The decree further stated that no public activity relating to the alleged apparitions and locutions is to take place on properties of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
Although my predecessor, Cardinal William II Keeler, and others in the Archdiocese spoke out clearly, it is now apparent to me that more must be done to protect the faith and good morals of the Christian faithful from possible distortion and harm. In virtue of my office as chief shepherd of the people of the Archdiocese of Baltimore and directed particularly by Canon 823 §1, I seek to protect the faith and good morals of. the Christian faithful entrusted to my care so that no harm be done to them. To that end, I have consulted with those entrusted with the pastoral care of all affected by these messages and locutions, and I have listened carefully to those members of the Christian faithful who wished to be heard on the matter and those whose rights could be injured.
The Directory on Popular Piety and the Liturgy issued by Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments offers principles and guidelines for pious practices of the Christian people. Of particular pertinence to this matter is its paragraph 90:
Popular Piety and Private Revelation
90. Popular piety has always been interested in extraordinary happenings and events that are not infrequently connected with private revelations. While not confined to Marian piety alone, this phenomenon is particularly involved with “apparitions” and “messages”. In this regard, it is useful to recall what the Catechism of the Catholic Church says about private revelation: “Throughout the ages, there have been so- called private revelations, some of which have been recognized by the authority of the Church. They do not belong, however, to the deposit of faith. It is not their role to improve or complete Christ’s definitive Revelation, but to help live more fully by it in a certain period of history. Guided by the Magisterium of the Church, the senses fidelinm knows how to discern and welcome in these revelations whatever constitutes an authentic call of Christ or his saints to the Church” (n. 67).
The alleged apparitions to Gonna Sullivan have not been recognized by the authority of the Church. Studied in detail by experts in theology and other pertinent fields, the investigations have come to the conclusion that the alleged apparitions are not supernatural origin. This has been confirmed by the authority of the Church.
Therefore, I strongly caution all the faithful regarding these purported apparitions to be guided by the Magisterium which cannot affirm, them as authentic. The confusion and division that have come as a result of these apparitions have prompted me to take this public and decisive step.
I also strongly caution Mrs. Gianna Talone-Sullivan not to communicate any manner whatsoever, written or spoken, electronic or printed, personally or through another in any church, public oratory, chapel or any other place or locales public or private, within the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Baltimore any information of any type related to or containing messages or locutions allegedly received from the Virgin Mother of God.
Further, I strongly caution those who participate any activity surrounding these alleged apparitions or who seek to disseminate information and promote them here in the Archdiocese. To do so a great disservice to the Church and creates further confusion and division among the faithful
It is my hope that this warning will result in greater clarity for the faithful and resolve the divisions created by this situation. May Mary, Mother of the Church, intercede for us, now and always.
Given at Baltimore, Maryland on October 8, 2008.
Signed Edwin F. O’Brien Archbishop of Baltimore

Five Points
Important to remember are 5 points regarding the ongoing occurrences of the private revelations associated with the apparitions of Our Lady of Emmitsburg, which have been, since their inception over 20 years ago, perpetually and pervasively scrutinized:
[1] Full Obedience to the Church
Believers in Our Lady of Emmitsburg are verifiably obedient to the Church and the directive of the fallible June 2003 Decree, most especially and visibly, the visionary and prophet and her family. No one has proven otherwise and, most notably, the Church has not found or proved any believer to be disobedient. But rather, the Church has even mentioned that to the best of their knowledge, the prophet and believers are practicing Catholics in good standing with the Church.
[2] Nothing Contrary to Faith and Morals
Nothing in the content of any of the messages proceeding from the private revelations has ever been found to be irrefutably and certifiably contrary to Church teaching on Faith and Morals. Falsities and fallacy aside, no one, including the Church’s investigative Commission of Enquiry, has ever proven that any content found within any of the messages of these private revelations is contrary to Church teaching on Faith or Morals. This is most significant because for over 20 years the mystical phenomena have been under ongoing close scrutiny by many, including the Church.
[3] Attested Legitimacy – No Fraud
Not the Church, or any other party has ever proven Gianna Sullivan, the visionary and prophet, to be a fraud for any reason. No one has proven fraud attributable to psychological instability, physiological bases, or moral turpitude (deception, lies, greed, avarice, fame/notoriety, etc). No moral, psychological, or physiological reason, argument, or explanation has ever proven her to be a fraud. In fact, the medical and scientific evidence indicate possible authenticity; as do as well: her moral character, psychological profile and mental health, and her physiological condition. The recent medical electroencephalogram testing, confirms earlier results, that the not-normal-to-human-existence ecstasies are consistent with authenticity. Also, proof does not exist that the visionary and prophet is perpetrating lies or participating in deliberate or inadvertent, vincible or invincible deception.
[4] Questionable Church Handling and Investigation
Eminent Marian and Mystical Theologians, Academicians, intellectuals and others, both lay persons and religious, have already documented and are becoming increasingly aware of more and more fallacy and injustice in the handling of the private revelations. Many of them conclude it is necessary that a new investigation be conducted at some time in the future. Their concerns include invalid reasoning in arguments, false assertions, violations of personal and civil rights, as well as many public and private examples of calumny, slander, defamation, abuse, and profane and unjustified vilification of the visionary and those who believe to be authentic, the private revelations associated with Our Lady of Emmitsburg.
[5] Prophecies Upheld Valid
As regards the predictions detailing future events and happenings, none of the prophecies have been determined to be invalid. No one has ever demonstrated conclusive proof, or supplied valid reasons why, any of the prophecies can be deemed with certitude to be: “not possible to ever be fulfilled.” In fact, more and more of the many prophecies are being confirmed as fulfilled and many indicate to be unfolding now. While some persons have labeled some of the prophecies that involve the future: “apocalyptic,” no one has proven that any of them are contrary to Church teaching on dogma, faith, or morals. The Church has approved many apparitions as worthy of human credence having similar revelations which might also be termed apocalyptic. By simply terming or labeling prophecies “apocalyptic” does not proof of an invalidation make.

Our Lady of Emmitsburg Legitimate
Prepare now, for she says among so many other things:
"Please, little ones, my one and only purpose here is to help all of humanity to know not only the Truth, but to change so they can all be happy and free."
"…people do not realize the penalty they will have to pay for injustice. (To whom God has allowed me to visit from heaven) will not be allowed to share these words, especially when the time comes when people will crave to hear them. I gave so many words, encouragements, invitations, warnings and challenges. They only wanted to hear the “good” they were doing. Anything other than that could not “be from Heaven.” Now in the near future, they will have to learn the Truth and obedience to God through what they suffer. Many have accepted and responded; and for their benefit, they will see how their faithfulness has gained them safety. …This world has no idea of the intensity of pain and the level of mass confusion it is about to be afflicted with. …I pointed the Way to that path (the path to God). Many mocked that Way and ridiculed me. We wish them well in peace, and we must keep our lanterns filled with oil lest we would run out and not be ready for our Bridegroom…."
"…My son said, “Follow Me”; and He did not outline the way. So, go where He goes, where He takes you; and live in peace within our heart. In the midst of so many trials and tribulations it is most important now to live in peace within your heart, to be careful of what you say and how you say it. I have foretold a long time ago as to the events to unfold. This country is in more danger than perhaps the population understands. It is more than a crisis and it will affect the entire world, not only through monetary means, but through other issues as well. Remember, I said: When the time comes, there will be calamities, one right after another, so that you will not be able to keep up and focus on only one event. That is why you must be prepared. I have oftentimes invited you and told you that there is no time for fear, only time for change…."
"…This country and world will only continue to spiral down until peoples are humbled on bended knees. All of what I have foretold is unfolding…."
Sadly, Our Lady of Emmitsburg has said so much more that is going unheeded, and she is now indicating that due to the indifference, all of what she has foretold will unfold, mitigation notwithstanding.
Do not wait for the appearance of the two suns to prepare, happening with the concomitant cataclysmic weather and other events. Most plausible current explanations of the two suns message are supernovas, reputedly something that has happened in recorded history. The supernova explantation does not preclude the plausibility and possibility of other ways it may be fulfilled.
The sources and causes of space weather are clearly concerning to the US government. Please see the 2008 published report to a 2003 US senate subcommittee action: "Severe Space Weather Events-Understanding Societal and Economic Impacts:
A Workshop Report" (Committee on the Societal and Economic Impacts of Severe Space Weather Events: A Workshop, National Research Council)
Our Lady is focusing our attention on our predicament.
