The rumor mill is cranking and CNN is confirming that Sen. Joe Biden, the one person who likes to hear himself talk more than Obama, is the likely VP nominee.
This promises to be very interesting as Biden has got a real bad case of running mouth, whether there is a foot in it or not. Some … interesting Biden quotes.
“You cannot go into a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts without an Indian accent.”
About Obama ““I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American presidential candidate who is articulate and bright and clean-cut and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man,”
And of course, this telling comment, “I Think I have a much higher IQ than you do.”
We will be building our collection of Obama – Biden Bumper Stickers, but these are the ones that are first to hit the presses.

From the NOR:
Biden On McCain:
Biden, on a post-debate appearance on MSNBC, October 30, 2007: “The only guy on the other side who’s qualified is John McCain.”
Biden appearing on The Daily Show, August 2, 2005: “John McCain is a personal friend, a great friend, and I would be honored to run with or against John McCain, because I think the country would be better off, be well off no matter who…”
On Meet the Press, November 27, 2005: “I’ve been calling for more troops for over two years, along with John McCain and others subsequent to my saying that.”
Biden On Obama:
Assessing Obama’s Iraq plan on September 13, 2007: “My impression is [Obama] thinks that if we leave, somehow the Iraqis are going to have an epiphany” of peaceful coexistence among warring sects. “I’ve seen zero evidence of that.”
Also from that Observer interview: “But — and the ‘but’ was clearly inevitable — he doubts whether American voters are going to elect ‘a one-term, a guy who has served for four years in the Senate,’ and added: ‘I don’t recall hearing a word from Barack about a plan or a tactic.’”
Around that time, Biden in an interview with the Huffington Post, he assessed Obama and Hillary Clinton: “The more people learn about them (Obama and Hillary) and how they handle the pressure, the more their support will evaporate.”
December 11, 2007: “If Iowans believe campaign funds and celebrity will fix the debacle in Iraq, put the economy on track, and provide health care and education for America’s children, they should support another candidate,” said Biden for President Campaign Manager Luis Navarro. “But I’m confident that Iowans know what I know: our problems will require experience and leadership from Day One. Empty slogans will be no match for proven action on caucus night.”
Also that night, Biden said in a campaign ad, “When this campaign is over, political slogans like ‘experience’ and ‘change’ will mean absolutely nothing. The next president has to act.”
… and there’s more. Biden may be an assett to McCain and a thorn to Obama.
Now, if only McCain will make good and pick a pro-life VP …

Biden gives it to McCain; the America people will not take kindly to an obnoxious, bullying jerk who wears his I.Q. on his sleeve. As Churchill is said to have said (and perhaps most alleged Churchill quotes are as carefully sourced as those from Hillary’s mythological African village) of some twit, “There but for the grace of God goes God.”

Obama-Biden: OB : Out-of-Bounds for America
Biden & Obama: BO : Something stinks about this ticket

It would be far more creative for you folks to think for yourselves rather than simply expounding themes handed down to you by political operatives.

I take offense at that as I often am a political operative.

We can’t help it, many of us are former Democrats.

“You folks?” Well, yes, I am clean and articulate, and a trifle uppity.

Nate:
You’re a pacifist, right? And a faithful Catholic?
Both Obama and Biden support abortion rights. Biden supported the war in Iraq.
What grounds do you have to support this ticket?
August 25, 2008 at 3:43 am
In defense of Nate, I read him at Vox Nova and don’t believe he has ever come out in a formal endorsement of Obama / Biden.
As for my posting of “Biden’s Greatest Hits” — I found them rather humorous, as I think would most people.

Patrick, your bumper stickers are funny, but can you please fix the ’08. The year needs an apostrophe (curling the same way as a 9) instead of an opening single quotation mark.

Sheepcat,
HAH! I didn’t notice that!
I considered leaving it that way to torture you, but out of Christian charity, I fixed it.
Thanks for the heads up.

Everyone on this board is so clever! Wow.
Nothing beats occasionally stumbling into a lame blog like this one, and reading all of the well thought out postings! Great job everyone.
Has anyone here thought of the the first issues they’d like President Obama to see to when he is sworn in next year?
Have a great day religious zealot wackjobs,
kisses,
Jesus

Dear AJ,
I would like Pres O’s first matter to be the hiring of an attorney to defend his impeached bum against the charge of treason for conspiring in the deaths of American citizens, those born by means of botched abortions and granted citizenship in the 14th amendment.
I have many more pols to condemn, as well, but will stick to the issue at hand.
