Now that the Obama camp has come out with the claim that Obama didn’t know William Ayers history as a terrorist bomber, we here at CMR want to lend a hand. Here are the “Top Ten Excuses I Didn’t Know My BFF (Best Friend Forever!) Willy Ayers Was a Terrorist”
9) Jeremiah Wright vouched for him.
8) I’ve always been a supporter of Don’t Ask Don’t tell.
7) There was nothing about it in the Indonesian Press at the time.
6) It wasn’t on the teleprompter.
5) I thought Republicans would like him because he’s bitter and into guns.
4) I was busy that day picking up my $105,849 check from Fannie Mae with my good buddies Doodad Pro and Good Will.
3) I thought terrorists all had names that sounded like…well…mine.
2) How was I supposed to know? After all, he looked like all the other guys on the dollar bill.
1) I really did know and I’m LYING.

Hilarious top ten list…
and of course, now I have invite a meteor shower.. I don’t have any affection for Bill Ayers or Barack Obama, but is this actually pertinent to the issues at hand? I don’t think so. The man seems pretty clearly misguided, but who he wants to vote for, or that fact that Obama is friends with him only offers some vague implications, no true fact. I have many friends with whom I disagree on many issues, and substantial ones.
There are plenty of valid reasons to rag on Obama. If we’re going to bring up friendships, why don’t we talk about his close ties to the Chicago political machine, infamous for its election theft and manipulation? That one seems a lot more founded.
Or we can rag on him for comparing himself to Jack Kennedy. That was just annoying. (grr debate…)

Nzie – I respect your views. I really wish that Palin and others would focus on the issues rather than his ties with Ayers. They were not “BFFs” or “pals” but had some associations with each other. I don’t think most republicans believe that Obama is in anyway a terrorist or that he poses any threat in that way. I think it makes the republicans seem desperate to do anything to try and pull ahead.
