This is an odd story from Fox News. I’m going to look more into this but wanted to put it up to see if anyone else knows anything about this. :
The late Pope John Paul II was injured by a crazed, knife-wielding priest in a 1982 stabbing that was kept secret until now, Reuters reported.
John Paul’s former top aide opens up about the pope in a new documentary film called “Testimony.” The film was made from Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz’s memoir, published last year.
On May 12, 1982, John Paul visited a shrine in Portugal to give thanks for surviving an assassination attempt a year earlier, when a Spanish priest lunged at him with a dagger. The fact that the knife actually cut the pope was covered up.
“I can now reveal that the Holy Father was wounded. When we got back to the room (in the Fatima sanctuary complex) there was blood,” Dziwisz says in the documentary, Reuters reported.

His name was (is) Juan Fernandez Krohn. If I am not mistaken he served a prison sentence in Portugal to later become a well-kown lawyer in Belgium. He considers himself to be in “self-exile”. I don’t think he would be very welcome in Spain. The other day I actually stumbled on his blog (Here).
I actually did not known the Pope was actually hit by the knife. In fact I remember seeign TV images with Krohn being taken away by the portuguese police and the Pope looking perfectly OK a few meters ahead.

I have re-read my comment and looks awful with so many “actuallys” liberally scattered around the text. Sorry.

It’s just that precisely this morning I was complaining to one of my daughters’ head teacher about her English teacher’s poor writing skills.
They call it coincidence, we call it Providence.
I have laughed so much with your comment!.
