You think you have it tough? Stressed out? Well you have nothing on little Jesus who was born this past December 25th. This kid doesn’t have a chance.
A woman in Peru named Virgen Maria (which means “Virgin Mary” in English) who is married to a carpenter gave birth on Christmas Day to a baby she named Jesus. The woman, whose mother named her Virgen Maria at birth, wasn’t expected to deliver the baby on Christmas Day, but she went into labor early, BBC reported. The happy couple originally was going to name the baby after a sports star, but because of all the Christian-related coincidences, they decided to name him Jesus.
You thought you had a lot to live up to?

I wonder if her mother had wanted her to be a nun.

I saw this on the BBC Friday and thought it was fantastic and fun. According to that article, it was her grandfather who came up with the name – must have had a Marian devotion.

With all due sympathy to little Jesus, my first thought is:
“They were going to give him an unChristian name, but providence intervenes and *Bam!* as Christian as you can get.”
