So, in an interview with Matt Lauer yesterday, President Barack Obama essentially called Jessica Simpson fat. I’m not kidding.
According to Gateway Pundit:
During his pre-Super Bowl interview with Matt Lauer Barack Obama joked about Jessica Simpson’s weight.
LAUER: And here’s a great picture —
OBAMA: Oh, it’s beautiful.
LAUER: — of — of you and — and Michelle and — and your daughters. Now, the — the reason I bring this up I think is funny. It’s a great picture.
OBAMA: Yeah.
LAUER: But I wanna show you the cover. Look what they did. They — they took you off the cover.
OBAMA: Yeah.
LAUER: They took you out of it.
OBAMA: It — it’s — it’s a little hurtful.
LAUER: You got replaced by Jessica Simpson.
OBAMA: Yeah, who’s losing a weight battle apparently. (LAUGHTER) Yeah. Oh, well.
LAUER: What would you like to say to the tens of millions of people who are watching this game today?
(If you want to see video, Gateway Pundit has the link)
Now, remember this is the same guy who flipped the bird to Hillary Clinton in the same way adolescents do.
Obama thinks he’s the cool kid in high school who thinks he can make fun of everyone. And the media in their role as beta males just love any attention he gives them. Matt Lauer acted like a weenie just laughing at Obama’s incredibly rude comment.
I mean just imagine if George W. Bush had said Queen Latifah is losing the Battle of the Bulge. The media would be outraged. Latifah would be crying on Oprah all week.
And remember when Mr. Bipartisan got into his first squabble with Republicans over his “stimulus bill” what does he do? He didn’t negotiate. He said, “I won” as a discussion ender.
If my kids acted like this they’d be in their room. I’ll admit he is my President. And my President is a jerk. I hope Tony Romo kicks his…
So Pat and I have a difference of opinion on what’s coming next. Pat thinks he’ll laugh it off and blame Republicans for making too much out of his innocuous comment. I think he’ll offer up a quick apology so the media can bury it fast. What do you think?

He didn’t say she was “LOSING” a weight battle. He said, reading from the cover, “who’s IN a weight battle, apparently”
So, if you’re going to level a charge, do try to quote the man accurately, even if that diminishes the impact of the charge you are leveling against him. Failing to do so utterly discredits the charge you made.

Where is his brain–in His p—s.She is a beautiful woman, wait till his wife gets fat sitting on her a$$ I hope he uses his senses, instead of running off at the mouth. He showed stupidity. Making a comment , like that , he should have known weannie Mat Lauer would do anything for news… He has pill problem. We are in a terrible depression and that is all the news they can come up with…..B.S. I doubt he lasts two years…… Get him out of office.. NOW

This morning I heard the Obama comment first-hand when NBC aired the Lauer interview on the Today show. Honestly, it was clear to me that he was making a joking off-hand comment about tabloids in general and not poor Jessica Simpson. And of course slobbering lapdog Matt Lauer bent over backwards after the comment aired to explain that OF COURSE Obama wasn’t criticizing Simpson, only those silly magazine headlines, etc.
Still, it’s an example of the off-hand, arrogant, snide manner that Obama often employs and it is increasingly leaving me cold and irritated. It’s time for a little genuine humility, for pete’s sake. I mean, he’s been president for a little over a WEEK.
I heard a right wing radio commentator say that the problem with Obama’s color is not the fact that he is black, it’s the fact that he is green. Stupid throwaway comments like the Jessic Simpson line really shoe Obama in all his inexperienced glory.
And more and more, Obama strikes me as a guy who really believes his own PR, and that’s a scary thing.
I already have more than enough snark in my life, I don’t want to hear it from the chief executive, thanks very much. The Super Bowl and expensive steak dinner is over, Mr. President and Matt Lauer has gone back to worshiping you from afar. Now please get back to work.

It’s kind of fun watching Republicans kick and scream as they fade into the sunset.

They say that in the end, we’ll be able to tell the weeds from the wheat… perhaps that’s what we’re seeing here? Some of the trollish comments only reflect a lack of character and integrity. Momma always said “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything nice at all…”
Some could do well to remember this small, but timeless lesson from their mom.
For those who want to continue to blame Bush for everything, just remember how cooperative the democrats were during the past eight years and how poorly he was treated – and yet he NEVER ONCE complained about it to the media. Now who’s “the man?”
Yeah, I thought so…

Incidentally, if you want to step away from the windmills for a moment and look at something REAL (*cough*) to anger you about Obama, you might be interested to read this. It even comes from AOL, and ABC affiliate located squarely in the ranks of the “mainstream meadia”.
You’re welcome.

Obama vs. Romo? Cage match.
My prediction -Romo would win for 56 minutes and then he’d mess it up in the end.
I grew up near Dallas; I am a huge, life-long Cowboys fan; and I like Tony Romo.
But even I found that LOL funny.

WHY is this even news?
Who cares.

Surely I’m not the only one enjoying the poetic justice. Watching Politcal Correctness bite the hands of its masters is even funnier than watching Wille E. Coyote get blowed up by one of his ridiculous contraptions. Oh yeah, the attempts to logic-chop this gaffe away are pretty funny too.

Of course being POTUS is about him. He doesn’t care that any audible personal comments he makes actually look like they are being made as BO, president. Not BO, private citizen.
One of the “changes” The One has made is dropping “Hail to the Chief” in favor of that song Sting recorded with Cheb Mami, singing in Arabic.
Robert Gibbs, BO’s press secretary, said of the change, “He’s not a ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ kind of guy.” That may be, Mr. Gibbs. But, the office your boss holds isn’t that of a company CEO. It represents a people not a person
. . . O my! How could I have been so blind? Of course The Messaiah is only demonstrating his humbleness.
