Nice guy, huh?
Chris! The election’s been over. Why does he hate her so much?
I understand why so many like her but I’m puzzled by the outrage this woman causes in people.

Had she had a better running mate, Governor Palin would have been a force to be reckoned with. And if they don’t continue to bash her, she may be, again. They can’t let up. Smell the fear?

I agree. For a minute there, the Obama campaign thought all was lost. They will not forget nor forgive her audacity. To this day, the unspoken message rings strong in their hearts: “Palin delenda est!”

If Sarah were yet another paid-for Barbie-doll Mrs. Kennedy, betrayed and abused by her husband and The Family, Chris Matthews and other petulant princes would love her. Because she is a strong, good woman Chris Matthews must by his own fearful, envious nature hate and fear her.

What they said. Plus she’s pretty, so she must be stupid, right? Also, she has embraced a culture of life an fearlessly promotes it. She embodies everything that liberals hate.

Amy put her finger on it. They hate and fear Palin because she is pro-life.
Had she only aborted Trig, she would be the darling of the media.

I think they don’t like her because she’s an authentically feminine woman.

And she is quite self-made, on top of that. She worked her way through school, has been a success at nearly everything she put her hand to, and doesn’t buy the victimhood culture they require to hold their influence and power in society.
They are trying to turn her into the next Dan Quayle.

I agree that they hate her because she’s pro-life, but it’s more than that. She’s prolife and prolific (5 children) while being a very sucessful woman (Governor, VP candidate). This totally shatters their ‘women are oppressed by reproduction’ narrative. Their arguments do not work against her, which is why the MSM degenerate into vitriolic name-calling instead. They are afraid because she is a living refutation of their ideology, and a potential icon that could inspire the nation. Oh yes, let them fear, they have good cause.

I could give a rip about Chris Mathews’ clever quips about Mrs. Palin’s candidacy. He’s a pundit, that’s what he’s paid to do. Sad that is, as he once was a serious journalist when he covered stuff from SF.
What disgusted me was the tippy-toed back-tracking John McCain danced amongst the Sunday Talking Heads (methinks David Gregory’s interview particularly) in which he wimply distanced himself from the posited theoretical scenario of Mrs. Palin actually becoming a presidential nominee and whether he would provide unequivocal support of that candidacy. He would have had more credence if he’d just said “David, I’m just gonna equivocate like hell over this, so ‘no comment,’ move on.”
Well, Senator, what? You didn’t anticipate such questions when you got yerself booked on the Beltway shows? Lead, follow or get out of the way.

Matthews is afraid to admit that Sarah is the one who really makes his leg tingle…

True feminists scare the crap out of liberals. Instead of whining about being a victim they’re likely to start cleaning clocks, including those of patronizing elitists.
