I remember a radio interview with Mayor Mallory ahead of the pitch, and he was talking about how hard he’d been practicing for the ceremonial throw.
A part of me, deep down, wants to believe that this was a plotted piece of comedic genius. Either way, perhaps the best part of this clip is the reaction of honorary catcher Eric Davis.
