You know how sixteen year old girls act. They tend to treat those they like worse than those they don’t. In fact, I’ve noticed that their need to be liked usually motivates them to bend over backwards to please those who are meanest to them.
And it seems to me that Barack Obama is acting like a sixteen year old girl minus the cute little ponytail. His foreign policy seems to be the opposite of common sense.
Case in point: Obama is treating his allies like dirt including Prime Minister Gordon Brown who we gave a few DVD’s off the discount rack at Wal-Mart that don’t even work in his country. The Obama’s break protocol with the Queen. The White House mocked Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek for receiving a no-confidence vote in his own country, ignoring that he received the vote because of his strong support of American missile defense.
Israel has been essentially dropped like a bad habit. Check this out from The Age:
CAN Israel still call the United States its best international friend? Apparently not, if you believe the tone of the local media.
Watching the drama unfold inside Israel, the increasingly tense dialogue between US President Barack Obama and new Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is taking on all the trappings of a duel.
Almost every day brings news of another sore point between the two countries, a source of yet further inflammation of their once warm relations.
One could be forgiven for thinking that the more immediate threat to Israel’s national security lay across the Atlantic rather than from closer to home.
It is bad enough that President Obama uses almost every opportunity he can to set the parameters of a final peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. Now US officials are openly using Israeli anxiety over Iran’s fledgling nuclear program as a bargaining chip to force Israel’s hand on giving up control of the West Bank Palestinian territory.
No less a figure than White House chief-of-staff Rahm Emanuel — whose father fought with the militant Zionist group the Irgun, and whose appointment had provided such reassurance to Israeli officials — was quoted this week laying down the law to Israel.
If Israel wants US help to defuse the Iranian threat, Mr Emanuel was reported to have told Jewish leaders in Washington, then get ready to start evacuating settlements in the West Bank.
Talkback radio blazed with fury across the country the same day, as Israelis protested that no US official had the right to tell them where to live.
Then on Thursday came the news that Mr Netanyahu’s planned first meeting with President Obama in Washington next month had been called off.
Mr Netanyahu had hoped to capitalise on his attendance at the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference in Washington to visit the White House.
But Administration officials informed Mr Netanyahu’s office that the President would not be “in town”.
But while Obama is estranging himself from traditional U.S. allies he’s practically “sexting” the mullahs of Iran and the leaders of the Islamic world.
And while he’ll be conveniently “out of town” when Netanyahu shows up, Obama races across a room to shake Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez’s hand like a sixteen year old girl who just spotted Zac Effron across the room.
And of course Obama is proposing talks aimed at ending the embargo of Cuba. He told a Summit of the Americas with Latin American leaders that he wanted to continue his apology-palooza with a conversation that would recognize past US “errors.”
So since Obama’s going to act like a sixteen year old, my only question is that when Obama meets with these dictators in the Oval Office, can we at least have a chaperon? Maybe Dick Cheney.

And we expected what from this Administration…competence, intelligence, commitment to moral and ethical values, decorum? These guys make Jimmy Carter look like Bulldog Bart.
The major extremists in this country can be found in the White House, the legislative branches, and the federal offices of Washington. Maybe the Lord is visiting this Chicago curse upon us for our remarkable misuse of His gift of intelligence.

Why on earth did you label this post as “humor”? It’s freaking scary. No fun at all. God help us.

I don’t see the problem with apologizing for errors this country did in Latin America (and there are MANY). Other countries have apologyzed when they have commited crimes against specific people or nations. What makes Americans exempt? Did the trail of tears, Tuskeegee and My Lai just never happen?
As for Israel, they have been given carte blanche for far too long. It’s time for the US to stop unquestioningly support “Yitzak’s little brother” and let him deal with his own problems for a change. If Israel weren’t so cocky that they could do anything they wanted, maybe they would finally have to knuckle down with the Palestinians and get a lasting peace treaty going. Unless we try it, we’ll never know.

Barack Obama will be going down as the worst president in the last 60 years.
Who would’ve thunk it that somebody could be as clueless and out of his element as much as Jimmy Carter.
WOW.

I wonder whether the difference between all past presidents and B. Hussein Obama is this: maybe, just maybe, past presidents were aware somewhere in a more or less hidden corner of their being that they were accountable to a Higher Power —– B. Hussein Obama is not!
He is only accountable to himself; he is his own messiah.
Today is Divine Mercy Sunday. Almighty GOD, how we ever need it.

Who is “Zac Effron”?

I certainly hope that the Obama administration is laying down the law in Israel. Israel’s misbehavior and American support of it is one of the chief reasons why we have earned the ire of Muslims (no, they do not hate us for our freedoms, they hate us – among other things – because we support Israeli oppression of the Palestinians). And it’s high time that the unjust embargo of Cuba came to an end.

dcs – Palestinians have suffered far more gravely at the hands of their Muslim neighbors than they ever have at the hands of Israel. If they weren’t so hell-bent on shoving every last Jew into the sea, they would likely be welcomed – unlike in Jordan, Libya, Egypt, etc, where they were shoved aside. The Muslim countries know that the Jews will be blamed for any suffering they themselves inflict on Palestinians, so those governments have no real qualms in the matter. The Palestinians are essentially their blunt instrument to convince the rest of the world that Israel has no right to exist.
And its funny, but when the USA was “laying down the law” to the Taliban and al-Qaeda, people were screeching “fascism” and wringing their hands, but the same people are now filled with glee for Obama to do the same to Israel. Nice double-standard.

Palestinians have suffered far more gravely at the hands of their Muslim neighbors than they ever have at the hands of Israel. In what way? Are their Muslim neighbors stealing their land, putting up fences around it, or crisscrossing it with highways to settlements? Are their Muslims neighbors tearing down their homes or bombing civilian areas?
I don’t know of anyone who is arguing for the U.S. to bomb Israel as it did Afghanistan, so your comparison really holds no water.
Obama has many evil policies but the fact that he’s dead wrong on abortion doesn’t mean that his Middle East policy is wrong as well. It’s high time that the U.S. started playing fair in the Middle East.
