Pass Health-care or I will blow myself up! Oh wait a minute…
Exit question: Is this what Nancy Pelosi meant about threats of violence?

"Thomas, why do we keep going round in circles?" asked Sir Topham Hat. (He suspected they weren't on Sodor anymore.)

I've heard of damsels being tied to train tracks by an evil villan. This is the first time I've ever seen the damsel of an evil villan with a train track tied to her.

Secret White House Meeting:
Wonk1: Health Care is in trouble we need to do something.
Wonk2: Let's get the First Lady involved.
Wonk1: Yeah, that's the ticket. It worked so well in the 90s.

If one wears the pants, one must also wear the belts.
It bears repeating:
Clothes make the man!

People, people. Michelle Obama is a "woman of substance" and therefore she and her many belts, and opinions about health care, are above reproach.
And hey, if she wants to shut down parts of Washington DC so can run to the farmer's market to get some Tuscan kale, she'll do that too!
From the Washington Post:
"…Let's say you're preparing dinner and you realize with dismay that you don't have any certified organic Tuscan kale. What to do?
Here's how Michelle Obama handled this very predicament Thursday afternoon:
The Secret Service and the D.C. police brought in three dozen vehicles and shut down H Street, Vermont Avenue, two lanes of I Street and an entrance to the McPherson Square Metro station. They swept the area, in front of the Department of Veterans Affairs, with bomb-sniffing dogs and installed magnetometers in the middle of the street, put up barricades to keep pedestrians out, and took positions with binoculars atop trucks. Though the produce stand was only a block or so from the White House, the first lady hopped into her armored limousine and pulled into the market amid the wail of sirens.
Then, and only then, could Obama purchase her leafy greens. "Now it's time to buy some food," she told several hundred people who came to watch. "Let's shop!"
Cowbells were rung. Somebody put a lei of marigolds around Obama's neck. The first lady picked up a straw basket and headed for the "Farm at Sunnyside" tent, where she loaded up with organic Asian pears, cherry tomatoes, multicolored potatoes, free-range eggs and, yes, two bunches of Tuscan kale. She left the produce with an aide, who paid the cashier as Obama made her way back to the limousine.
There's nothing like the simple pleasures of a farm stand to return us to our agrarian roots.
The first lady had encouraged Freshfarm Markets, the group that runs popular farmers markets in Dupont Circle and elsewhere, to set up near the White House, and she helped get the approvals to shut down Vermont Avenue during rush hour on Thursdays. But the result was quite the opposite of a quaint farmers market. Considering all the logistics, each tomato she purchased had a carbon footprint of several tons.
The promotion of organic and locally grown food, though an admirable cause, is a risky one for the Obamas, because there's a fine line between promoting healthful eating and sounding like a snob…."
Ya think?

Everything this Obama woman wears is laughable!!! She's simply trying so hard to be better than Jackie Kennedy, it shows! NOT working girl, not working!

I think health care reform should be thought of in the same way we understand the battle against cancer. There will never be a magic pill that will end cancer. There will only be small victories and advances on many different fronts. The same is true about The same can be said about health care reform. It will be a project that will take many years and many small reforms that will not make big headlines, but will get us to a better health care system. Obama is not Jonas Salk. Health care cannot be fixed by one shot. But it can be improved by many small acts that can get us to a better system than the mess we have now.

Wow- and I thought I had bad fashion taste:).
It looks like she raided the local TJ MAXX clearance rack and wore everything she bought!
Wow- I would fire my staffers if they let me go out like that…

religion to me seems a lot like football. A team I strongly dislike for one reason or another (take USC for example) and everything they do is wrong or deserves criticizing in my eyes. Religion isn't that much different. The Catholic religion has sided with the republican party for one reason or another, so decided that everything the other side does is wrong or deserves making fun of, including the clothes of the first lady. Not that everyone doesn't do this to an extent – but I would hope those claiming to be religious would be above it just a little maybe?

Anon, since when does poor fashion taste have anything to do with politics? Oh wait- until the media tried to spin the Obamas as the next Kennedy's. Jackie had class and style. Mrs. Obama is CLEARLY lacking in the latter… to the point where the comparison is now laughable.
Also, mistaking what is clearly a humorous and satirical post for a post on religious commentary shows a devastating lack of reading comprehension skills. Kind of like reading the Bible- you wouldn't read a Psalm in the same way you'd read a book like Leviticus. Don't know what the Bible is or which books in it I'm talking about? Maybe you need to turn off the football game and go to church.
Ok, done dissecting the troll:). I think I need to work on my Christian charity today…
