Ironic that you chose today, the feast day of St. Martin de Porres, the first Black saint of the Americas, to post this horribly racist caricature of President Obama.
It is shameful to see right wing Catholics allow their partisan political hatreds to lead them so far from Christian principles.
Oh, for crying out loud! If the president were white, this would be just as appropriate, given his policies and actions. It just wouldn't be as easy for hyper-sensitive libs to cry "RACIST!" For pity's sake, Gan Ainm, I hope you were only being sarcastic. If all you see when you look at the picture is a black guy being dissed for his skin color, try really hard to look past your own race obsession, and maybe you'll see the ad for what it really is. It has NOTHING to do with the man's skin color. It has everything to do with his actions and his consequent untrustworthiness. Frankly, I think the Joker ad is creepier, though. But I love the "Fear" caption. Fitting.
It is shameful to see right wing Catholics allow their partisan political hatreds to lead them so far from Christian principles.
What, pray tell, are the Christian principles you believe we are straying from? Blindly following a leader who lies, makes false promises, and promotes a health care bill that promotes characteristically un-Christian things like abortion, lack of conscience protection, and will lead to restricted access of health care and/or euthanasia?
Or that we don't agree with ACORN (Obama's most ardent supporters) going into New Jersey in a bold face attempt to defraud and change the election results of that state's governor's race? Or that we don't agree with Obama's attempts, through his "czars" to undermine American freedoms and spit on the Constitution? Or that Obama signed (or will shortly) into law a hate-crimes bill that will most certainly lead to religious persecution on behalf of the gay community?
Speaking of Christian references, why don't you check out what Jesus might have said
about the anti-Christ. Here is the video
with all the Aramaic & Hebrew exegesis.
Not defending Gan A., who sounds like he/she jerked their knee so fast that they hit themselves in the head.
However, I'm not a Star Wars groupie and hence have never heard of Darth Maul. Now that I know who Darth Maul is, I can see the humor in the poster, but I can also see how someone might take a quick look and see what looks an awful lot like African tribal makeup. And which might strike some as a racist caricature.
Just my .02. For what it's worth, I'm not a fan of Obama at all (I loved the Joker spoof). I think his policies are disasterous on multiple levels and he can and should be ridiculed. By why give the knee-jerk left easy ammunition?

A reference to the "dark side". Painting the President's face to resembel an evil movie character.
How long before someone calls you a "racist"?
😉

No time at all, because this graphic and the accompanying text makes it shamefully clear: you are a racist.

Gan,
Could you please define "racist" or "racism"?

Maybe Gan Ainm hasn't heard of Darth Maul?

Gan Ainm (Without Name),
How Christian is it to throw around baseless accusations of racism while hiding in anonymity?
I don't remember cowardice among the list of cardinal virtues.

Maybe Gan Ainm forgot about this picture as well?

Yeah, I knew it would only be a matter of time. It's the only card the left consistently knows how to play.

I once compared him to Sen. Palpatine. Am I racist because I compared him to a Euro. Amer./Brit.? (A little backwards logic)
Woa nelly!

Hoo boy. Somebody has their panties knotted up their butt. Anyone having some humor would reply with a pic of Palin as C3PO.
But libs aren't known for humor, are they?

BTW, I stole the pic and posted it on my own blog. All due credit given.
