Here’s your stomach turning quote of the day from Lila Rose’s blog. Abortionist Peter Kopf said in a recent interview:
Abortion is birth control. Adoption is giving up your child and not accepting your duties as a mother. Most women are not interested in that. It’s only in a religiously-altered mind that that’s a true option.
What?! Check out the rest at Lila Rose’s Live Action blog.

I'd give him at least grudging credit for being intellectually honest about abortion being used as birth control. Most pro-aborts tap dance around that utterly hideous fact. His statement about adoption is mind-boggling. Not only is it morally repugnant; it's completely illogical. Killing your child *isn't* refusing to "accept your duties as a mother"????

My mind just went: "Say what???!!!???"

Wow, I wonder how all of my friends with adopted children would feel about that?

I'm adopted. The mom who chose me and loved me my whole life and I are grateful to a scared 16 year old girl who "didn't accept her duties."
this is just sad, sad, sad.

It just goes to show that in the end, there isn't really a middle ground. The safe, legal, and rare jargon is just a sop to try and make it look like there is. Either abortion is birth control, which means rare is uneccesary, or its murder. Science is on our side – abortion is the taking of a life. Of course I have a religiously altered mind so what do I know.

Every woman I've known who had an abortion did it for birth control. Health reasons were never mentioned. At an AA meeting I attended one woman very matter-of-factly related how she had just gotten her fifth abortion because the father supposedly has a vasectomy but didn't.
I've always been a big fan of "the eyes are the window of the soul" school. Looking into hers I saw….nothing.
Well it's time to say my daily rosary and now I'm reminded of someone else to pray for. Funny how that works.

I actually had someone on another blog tell me that abortion was more humane to the child than adoption. I couldn't believe I what I was reading! When I tried to tell them that the child may have a different point of view, I was kicked off the blog and told to keep my wacky religious mumbo-jumbo to myself.
This is the mindset of those who are so devoid of any morality or respect for life that they can't see it. But, if you tell them that our government want to begin a program of forced abortions of dogs who become pregnant, they would raise hell and call it animal abuse.

Mom of 4, I can't agree with you more… Lila Rose points it out also- that at least he's being honest and consistent with his evil. He's not dancing around the truth and presenting the rhetoric that Planned Parenthood is so good at spinning. But he later states in the interview that women "need" abortion because they have recreational sex. It's just sad to hear that this is something a person can actually believe…

Semantics. Contraception is birth control. Abortion is murder. Adoption is giving another woman a chance to become a mother. The paradigm shift depends on the focus. And in the irreligious altered mind it is the self that replaces God.

When I wrote my adoption story on my blog, some people came out of the woodwork, encouraging me to read *their* adoption stories on *their* blogs. So I did. And what I found was that their stories were ALL linked to the belief that adoption is almost a crime. So I started looking at the links on their blogs and discovered that there is a very, very large and very prevalent anti-adoption movement out there. I was shocked. These people advocate the child staying with their parent at all costs, even if the parent is in no position to parent and doens't want to parent. Thus, in my head, I automatically extended their argument to include abortion – because let's face it – if they think adoption is wrong and some parents will naturally refuse to parent, then the door to abortion has been opened. It was really sad.

My dad adopted me as a toddler when he married my mother. I am eternally grateful. Peter Kopf is a complete tool.

Abortion can't be birth control. Birth control implies that no birth takes place, when in reality, once you are pregnant, you HAVE TO deliver a living child or a dead one. So to call it 'birth control' is just wrong. No birth is being prevented, just life.
Has anyone also heard the pr-aborts now say that denying abortion is 'forcing childbirth'? I suppose choosing to get pregnant by having sex had nothing to do with it…..

Excuse me, I meant engaging the the activity that produces the natural and logical outcome of pregnancy.

Charlotte, the anti-adoption movement is very small, but utterly psychotic. I've had the displeasure of knowing a few, and they're just generally very scary, hateful people. They absolutely want to force women who aren't capable of caring for their children to have abortions. But no one is pro-abortion, right?
My husband was adopted, God bless his birth mother for not killing him and for loving him enough to give him to a family that could care for him!
