Everything Obama’s regulatory czar says in this interview scares the heck out of me. Everything. But the lowlight is when he says “The word ‘voluntary’ is a little complicated.”
Buckle up we may be hitting some fascism ahead.

Holy cow. That's all I have to say about that.
Can I ask your help with something? I posted a story on my blog about a problem in our diocese. The parties involved only respond to publicity as we have found to be true too many times. Go. Read it. If you can, would you call it to the attention of your readers? Thank you. http://shovedtothem.blogspot.com/2010/05/innocence-stolen.html

He mentions a mandate as "…a last resort."
Is that the same as "you'd better come along quietly."?

I wonder if Obama would suggest the same "balanced" reading/listening to liberals, suggesting that people who read Huff Po should try listening to Rush Limbaugh just to hear a different view on things.

Downright frightening. Can we officially say that the folks who voted for "the anointed one" are idiots and have ushered in the most radical and dangerous government administration ever? Thanks a lot.

Big Brother days are definitely coming . . . .

If there was any reason to vote Republican, that was it….

Life has a funny way of biting these kinds of people right where the sun "don't shine". The "O" is in trouble and it's only May 2010 not even November.

Seriously, has this guy every spent any time on the internet? Almost every site I know of provides links to opposing points of view regularly, including this one. For the purpose of deriding and ridiculing them of course. Evidently not what he had in mind . . .
But the access is there all right!

In all fairness to Obama, I do believe that in his speech he also said that if you read the New York Times, then try reading the Wall Street Journal. Of course, that doesn't change the fact that this regulatory czar sounds creepy.

What is so complicated about the word "voluntary"? It is either voluntary, or involuntary… this guy is scary nuts.
May 18, 2010 at 3:57 pm
He's a Marxist. What else do you expect?

May I please show a link offering a contradiction to the narrative of "liberal fascism"?
http://dneiwert.blogspot.com/2008/01/liberal-fascism-response.html
I'll be on the lookout for links specifically challenging your specific talking point in this post.
P.S. Wasn't Bush called a Fascist and accused of creating a military dictatorship?

aka the Mom, the link doesn't work, it says the page isn't found on your blog. I did read a lot of other posts on your blog, though.
Did you remove the page? You have me curious.

Does this mean that all Muslim web sites should have links to randomly selected Jewish and Christian sites?
Should my mom blog have links to working mom blogs or feminists blogs?
Should AA sites have links to local beer distributors?

The word "voluntary" is only complicated to tyrants.
May 19, 2010 at 12:28 am
I suspect that the "tyrants" are still figuring out the details.
May 19, 2010 at 1:18 am
P.S. I found these.

The scenes about the news presenter in the novel The Camp of the Saints by Jean Raspail… but watch out if someone catches you reading it because they might call you a racist.
May 19, 2010 at 8:05 pm
I suspect that they'll "call you a racist" because the novel IS racist.
