OK. My first instinct was to nominate this Dad as craziest Dad ever but then I thought that at least the guy’s engaged with his kid’s life and you know what, this kid will remember losing that tooth the rest of his life. I’m not saying I’d recommend pulling children’s teeth out via rocket but the kid seemed to enjoy it (after the really super frightened look that crossed his face.) Pretty funny vid though.

Did I heard a little kid in the background say "Daddy, don't do that! It's weird!"???

The kid will probably get a job with NASA. Or as a dentist.

Sorry to put some water on this, but the father is an idiot!
June 17, 2010 at 2:48 am
I agree with Vox Cantoris, this father is a stone cold fool.

That is INSANE!!!!

Wow, that is AWESOME, I wish I still had baby teeth, so that I could try it.

That little boy is missing an awful lot of teeth. Maybe Dad should put that rocket away for a while!
My husband would sure get an earful from me if he let our kids pull out their loose teeth with a rocket.

What a bunch of wussys that Dad rocks and my hat is off to the kid. We need more people like them.

This is exactly why every child needs the presence of BOTH a mother AND a father – mom's just won't let us do that stuff.
What a great lead in for Father's Day!
PS – I'm glad that the boy's tooth was loose enough for the rocket to pull it out of his mouth, otherwise….

hopefully they're not Jewish;)

"That was the coolest tooth-pulling out I've ever seen" Agreed. If I could go back in time I'd try it on myself.
Better than, attaching floss to it and a pillow and then dropping the pillow off the stair case? Yup.
Better than tying it to a door and having big brother slam it? Yup.
Pretty darn cool. What's wrong with this dad? Nothing.

PLease get FR. Z, AMP, AND THE CATHOLIC lEAGUE ON THIS IMMEDIATELY!
June 17, 2010 at 3:23 pm
Yeah, that door slamming stuff was rough. I thought my face was going to rip the door off the hinges first.

That was awesome! But my son (who is due to lose his teeth this year) said there's no way he would lose a tooth like that! Hahahahha!
June 17, 2010 at 4:32 pm
I am always looking for new and creative ways to pull teeth. This was great; the son will always have this story in his bag of memoirs and will embellish it to the hilt, I'm sure.

I love it! My daughter asked me to pull her tooth just yesterday, but it isn't ready.
Of course, she isn't the kind to let me hook a rocket up to it.

It is not as unwise as one thinks to do something like this. There is something called physics that helps. Although one would need information about the gums of a young child and the rockets top speed. Unless one has this information, this is not the best idea.

Folks, you're missing the point here. With gov't healthcare coming, we may all be forced to take such measures when they won't pay for root canals, et al. We should all be taking notes.
j/k

This is awesome kudos to both for being creative and good sports.
I had a tooth pulled with pliers or tied to a door handle.
There was a day, not so long ago, when dentists were not so readily available or affordable.
A previous poster commented that this is a good example why children need both parents, I agree completely.

Uh huh, and if the kid had inclined his head too much at the last moment and the tooth/string whipping out at warp speed had scratched his cornea…or if he'd grabbed at the string and lacerated his hand…was this laughing dad prepared to rush him to an urgent care center? I hope so.
