You know, I was interested in the new movie “Inception” but this kind of stuff makes it very difficult for me to watch this.
It’s not that I’m boycotting but when I know that the actors on screen look down on me and my way of life it bugs me and it spoils the illusion of movies. It’s the same reason why I can’t go see George Clooney anymore in the movies. It’s not that I’m trying to teach him a lesson by not going to his movies it’s just that I think he’s a jerk who looks down his nose at me. I don’t believe any of his characters. When I see him I just see that jerk who made fun of Charlton Heston’s Alzheimers.
Here you’ve got Ellen Page, the star of “Juno”, saying Palin needs some “compassion” and “holistic intelligence.” I don’t even know what holistic intelligence is. Dicaprio, on the other hand, is an environmentalist nutjob. Has been for a while. And if you ask me I just don’t see what he brings to the table acting wise. I just don’t see it. Dude wasn’t even good on Growing Pains.
Now you know that the makers of this movie who dumped $160 million into making this mind-bending movie have to be changing their underwear when their star alienates half the country by mocking Sarah Palin in such pretentious tones.

You "move on" to then question her…humanity? Really? Is this dehumanization tactic effective? Does it just make you feel better to "attack" and "attempt to eviscerate" her person-hood as well as her political views?
Some people get a little queasy at the idea of doing violence to another person. It gets easier if you pretend that person isn't really a human. Is that why you do it? Does the realization that her ideas are in the mainstream scare you SO MUCH that you need to use reverse anthropomorphism to steel yourself before giving her the 'ol combox kick in the crotch?
If I were cynical I'd suspect that your post smacks of paid-for liberal trolling. But…I think you are innocently unaware that you are ignorant.
For your stats:
How about the Gallup Poll from June 15th 2009 – and again in Jan 2010? They show that 40% of Americans are conservative and 21% liberal. Rassmusen polls show similar results. That's a lot of Americans whose views are likely to conflict with the views of these Cuckooville actors.
Don't feel bad that you are the one out of the mainstream – because sometimes that's a good thing to be. Just not in this case.

Oh Matt, these are excellent opportunities to sacrifice that $11 toward a movie ticket for the poor box and forget about it. I totally wanted to see this movie but yeah I am easily annoyed in the same way now when 'artists' talk to much and ruin the illusion. Actors used to have a little humility. I mean the biggest sin was first vanity in this field and the risks that comes with but somehow they seem to now believe themselves when they speak from empty heads. It's really quite sad. They used to admit they didn't know anything but their lines. It was a wise stance if false humility.
