Awww! The poor things at Big Abortion seemed so thrilled the economy had taken a turn for the worse. According to the media, abortion clinics seemed thrilled to predict while many industries suffered from bleak economic indicator s, the abortion industry was riding high predicting that the recession would be a boom time for Big Abortion. But, let’s just say they’re not having the great recession they were hoping for.
In New Jersey, Governor Chris Christie reacted to the recession by rightly saying that the state is “broke” and can’t afford to fund abortion clinics like Planned Parenthood as it has in the past.
Atlantic City Press reports:
Legislative Democrats restored budget cuts of $7.5 million, but Republican Gov. Chris Christie vetoed the spending Friday afternoon. Unless Democratic lawmakers succeed in leading a vote to override the governor’s veto, funding for the centers will run out.
While the cuts will affect 58 centers statewide, Cumberland County, with high rates of teen pregnancy and unemployment, is likely to lose two of its three health centers, in Millville and Bridgeton, both run by provider FamCare, Inc.
Atlantic City’s branch of Planned Parenthood would face service cuts, possibly closing its doors three days a week.
This is interesting because Christie doesn’t seem to be a culture warrior. But he has pulled funding from abortion clinics in the name of fiscal responsibility due to the very same recession which was supposed to enrich Planned Parenthood and its minions.
You’d have to imagine that many in the abortion industry are now attempting to put the corks back in their champagne bottles. This kind of thing has to hurt the feelings of Big Abortion acolytes terribly because when the recession started, their hopes were so sky high that the abortion industry was recession proof. And the poor mainstream media must be devestated as well after passing along predictions from their fellow travelers in Big Abortion so eagerly…Continue reading at the National Catholic Register>>>

They should let the abortion clinics do their job. Everybody's complaining about the deficit and national debt, and it mostly because of all the social programs, including schools, medicare, welfare, social security. It's irresponsible for adults to keep having babies and large families. The large families should be taxed. They sucking up precious resources and that's wrong.

Jimbo, let me take your argument to its logical conclusion. Okay, large families as a plague. Let's tax families to the point where no-one can have children. That means that there are no more children and anyone with families have to move out of the country. Great. So now the entire debt of the country must be paid by *your* generation.
Have a nice tax time….
If you really wanted to be responsible, then the best thing to do is to stop creating debt for our children. The problem isn't children, the problem is our generation and the generation before that sought to borrow from our children instead of creating a legacy for our children.

Jimbo,
At the risk of supplying simply a utilitarian idea of humans — the best thing that we can do for the economy is to have MORE children. Who do you think works and pays taxes?
(Of course, I believe more of humans than this materialistic viewpoint.)

Jimbo, I guess this means you won't want to congratulate my mother for giving birth to her 16th and last child 44 years ago today…

Read Jimbo's comments on other posts. He's being facetious. Unless there are multiple jimbos or he has MPD.

jimbo (not to be confused with capital-J Jimbo), put a sock in it. My wife and I have 6 kids. I'm technically unemployed, but am not counted in the numbers as I'm not drawing unemployment since the contract jobs I'm finding are sufficient to support us. We're not on any government program at all. We homeschool, pay for our own health insurance, buy our own food, and so forth. We are not adding to the national debt because of social programs. Our friends with large families are the same way.
That's not to say I don't appreciate the safety nets that are in place, since we've made use of them. WIC for a year, unemployment (which I paid in to) for a year, Medicaid (as secondary insurance) when my 4th was born extremely premature, deaf school and PT/OT for the micro-preemie for two years, and so forth. But they are safety nets, to be used in emergencies, not to be relied on all the time. And I've spent most of the past 20 years paying for those programs.
As for "sucking up precious resources", you'll probably find that large families use less, per person, than small families. We're more efficient…we have to be in order to live. In my house we house 9 people (including my sister-in-law), spend $100/week on groceries, eat out rarely, reuse clothes and toys for the kids, have full dishwashers when we run them, wash full loads of clothes, and drive full vehicles. Compare that to 3 1-child families, who would need 3 houses, drive nearly empty cars, wash half-loads of clothing and dishes, eat out more, etc.

Sigh. This "other jimbo" is giving me a bad name.
I think you are on the wrong web site all together since you are clearly not a Catholic. But that's not for me to decide. As to your "point": It is all those kids who are going to grow up and, BY PAYING TAXES, support your sorry rear end when all you have is social security.
Now how bout this: Abortion is the taking of an innocent human life. So if you support murder, then also perhaps assisted suicide, and so on, right? Hey do you have any plans to off yourself any time soon? Just wonderin' because you know that Obama Death Tax is going back on 1 Jan, and if you beat that deadline your family would save some cash. Ahhh, but then again you don't believe in having a family do you?
Now let me be crystal clear that I think that would be a terrible thing. But I say it only to illustrate the horror and callousness of your own position.
Last: maybe you don't think and unborn baby is really a baby at all? So I ask you: Does it have horse, chicken, or human DNA? Could you classify as "human", then? OK. So, is it alive or is it dead? If it is living, then it's a "being". If it has solely human DNA and substance, too, then at least you can conceded, scientifically speaking, that it is a human being. (Maybe you define "alive" as living by feeding itself or something similar. If so I can see why you wouldn't care much for teenagers either. (You aren't still living in your mom's basement are you?))
If these pesky human beings bother you so much, perhaps you are in need of a rethink of who you are and why you are here.
God knew you before He created you. And He created you because he LOVED you. And He still does. And ya know what? So do I – even if you are a punk. 🙂
May God bless and help you in all good things.

I suspect that "jimbo" is being sarcastic or facetious. If he isn't, I just want to remind him that all those kids big families are having will be paying for his Social Security someday.
Plus, if people have brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. to turn to when they need their kids babysat, or meals brought to a sick family member, or an elderly parent cared for, they don't have to sign up for a government program to provide that kind of help.
