Nancy Pelosi is an embarrassment to herself, to Catholics, and to Congress. You’re not going to believe what she just said or more accurately what she couldn’t say because it might impede her support of the sacrament of abortion or at least impede they way Big Abortion funnels money into Democrat coffers by the millions.
Nancy was unwilling to pin down a time when Jesus’ right to life might have kicked in.
CNS reports:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), a Catholic, publicly stated earlier this year that she had a duty to pursue policies “in keeping with the values” of Jesus Christ, the “Word made Flesh.” But at a press briefing last week, when reminded of this statement, Pelosi declined to say when Jesus got the right to life.
“Whenever it was,” said Pelosi, “we bow our heads when we talk about it in church, and that’s where I’d like to talk about that.”
Later, when asked in writing through her press secretary whether the speaker believed Jesus had a right to life from the moment of conception, the press secretary responded: “The speaker answered the question. Thanks.”
Remember this is the Nancy Pelosi who lives for The Word. I guess The Word had to wait to be born until He had a right to life.

@ ER,
Actually, this country would fare much better if Pelosi and Obama took a crash course in civics 101. They might learn a few new things…

"Madame Damefoolidiot", "Scary white nut"! Ha! like the kids say, "lmao!"
Wish you all could have been with me last weekend when I was stuck Up North at a cottage with my 20 anti-Catholic, democrat boot lickin', anti-establishment, anarchistic, suedocommie, wobbly-wannabe in-laws who believe they could never be racists because they sing "Under the African Skies" whenever a 'person of color' joins us. (fyi, the lyrics begin "Joseph's face was black as night…")
I could have used the crack-up, er, back-up!

This blog is full of very clever and witty Catholics. I too LMAO! It gives me hope that the 40-50 years of wandering in the desert that the Church has been experiencing since V2 is slowly coming to an end and we reach the promised land of restored, licit, and reverential worship of The Triune God in the Liturgy of the Mass.
Thanks All- very good job and excellent points and counterpoints.

Mike's reference to mulatto may have been outdated, but could it be anymore wrong, then African-American? Oh, that would bring up scandal would it not? Certainly the first black, oh wait, he's half white too, president would want to ce called by the most up-to-date name.traitor!

Maybe we should ask the retired Bush appointee, Judge Souter…oh yeah, it's only wrong to be pro-abortion if you're democrat. I forgot.

I am not sure how Nancy Pelosi would respond to this quote from the Catechism of the Catholic Church:
“John was ‘filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb’ by Christ Himself, whom the Virgin Mary had just conceived by the Holy Spirit. Mary’s visitation to Elizabeth thus became a visit from God to his people.” (717)
According to the Church Christ was active in Mary's womb…
