Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm says criticism of the Chevy Volt (the plug-in hybrid vehicle) is un-American. Wait. Obama takes over a company and now it’s un-American to criticize the company’s product? What? This shouldn’t worry anybody though. We’ve never seen powerful governments take over industries and declare anyone who says anything against the country to be a traitor, right? (Hugo Chavez call your office.)
Exit thought: Remember when liberals used to freak out that anybody could be described as un-American? They seem to have found some level of comfort now with the term.

The car is going to be a dud. Runs 40 miles on batteries (powered by coal electric generating plants), then the "real" gasoline engine kicks in, for the next 300 miles or so. I couldn't make it to work and back on the batteries. The Nissan Leaf sounds like a much better option.
I won't buy a Goverment Motors vehicle anyway, just on principal.

Why do so many idiots like her get elected to public office? Americans will only have jobs from the Volt if people are willing to buy it. It's such an inferior, poorly engineered product, though, that it won't have a market. What's next? Forcing Americans to buy the Volt through the power of government, similar to forcing Americans to buy government health care? Liberals are mentally sick.

I'm proud to say that my computer is made by the same people who make the Volt. When I type a longer sentence I just have to

plug it in, wait awhile, and reboot, which is no problem for a patriotic American

@Blackrep LOL!

I wonder if Ms. Granholm would care to elaborate on Rush's agenda compared with her unbiased point of view?

Yay! She's out of a job (At least as governor of my state) in four months!!

@ Blackrep…. I like the way

@ Paul: Good luck that first time you get stuck in traffic on a 95 degree day and you don't have the range to get back home on your 100 mile [actually it ranges from 49 to 120] charge.

Can't wait for the fall! She's done NOTHING for our state- couldn't clean up DPS, couldn't find jobs if they hit her over the head and has been in the unions' pocket this whole time!!

But, Sarah, she's been able to travel on our dimes (and then some) all over the world trying to secure new jobs in Michigan. Doesn't that count for something? /sarcasm
To be honest, I liked Granholm when she was AG. I thought she did a pretty good job. But she's been clueless about how to be a governor.
