I wish to be clear up front. This is NOT a CMR parody piece. This is real. Nancy Pelosi wants to investigate those opposed to building a mosque at ground zero.
Speaking on San Francisco’s KCBS radio, Pelosi said:
“There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded,” she said. “How is this being ginned up that here we are talking about Treasure Island, something we’ve been working on for decades, something of great interest to our community as we go forward to an election about the future of our country and two of the first three questions are about a zoning issue in New York City.”
Apparently the 70% of the American people who oppose the mosque are guilty of forcing Nancy off message. For that crime, they must be investigated.
May I also suggest, Madame Speaker, that one of the primary reasons that two of the first three questions in your interview were about “a zoning issue in New York City” is becuase the President of the United States and the leader of your party decided to comment on “a zoning issue in New York City.” And by making these comments in opposition to a large majority of Americans, people care about it.
So if you wish to investigate anyone, Madame Speaker, why not start at the top?
This particular issue has turned out to be one of those giant blue bug lights. Democrats just can’t stay away and are burning themselves in the process.

The blogosphere is hyperactive with Ground Zero Mosque posts. It's impossible for one person to keep up with them (I've tried!). If you use Google Blog Search for 'Ground Zero Mosque' set to the last hour, they come up faster than you can comment on them.
Most of the posts seem to be against the Victory Mosque, but many of these bloggers are working on gut feel only, and are obviously not Islamically Aware, being confused about the true nature of Islam and regarding it as just another religion.
If we counterjihadists all spent an hour a day commenting on recent posts and pointing the bloggers in the right direction, then we could do a great educational job. You can find links to resources HERE

There outta be an investigation into her plastic surgeon to keep him from "working" on other peoples faces!
Seriously, she, her Sheik [Whom she called "a gift from G-d," in August of 2008 and "a leader that God has blessed us with at this time"], and those of their elitist and arrogant ilk, are soooooo far removed from the American people, that they do not recognize natural outrage.
For them, there has to be "money" behind opposition to them or their ideas…They sure do know how to project.

Hold the press! I thought that Dems weren't allowed to ask about where funds were…either coming from or going to…??? I'm confused!

Hmmm. Our leadership class is completely out of touch with John & Joan Q. Public. Since the current ruling political party has an "ends justifies the means" mindset, what are the chances they'll allow their reign to be peacefully diminished this November or in 2012?
On a related topic, we had a new gun shop open up down the road. Neat place! It was like walking into a 2nd Amendment version of "Toys R' Us"!
A few years back I'd have thought that last paragraph was the product of a sick mind. Now, not so much.

Investigate Reid, Dean, and other Dims running for office first!

Subvet – I REALLY would stear away from such talk. That's the same strain that was coming from the other side when Bush Jr was in the office. It wasn't fair or accurate then, nor is it now.
Also, as Catholic I really don't think "BUY GUNS! LOTS OF THEM!" is the message we want to send.

Early Riser, you may be right about the message we want to send. For that I apologize. It may be out of place on this particular blog.
As far as the fairness or accuracy of it, it's how I feel right now.
In my short 57 years on this earth I haven't seen our nation so divided, haven't witnessed the threats it now faces both internally and externally. The closest it came to this was about thirty years ago, as a sailor aboard a Fleet Ballistic Missile equipped sub at that time, I had no illusions about life then and figured we'd all be nuclear dust before I hit thirty. That might sound like hype, it isn't.
I'm concerned about the future and what it holds for my family. I'm not only a Catholic but a father of three small children, (according to the Catechism that entails a need for concern of their physical wellbeing) and a responsible citizen (also something encouraged by that particular tome).
When I say my daily prayers, my children's future tops my list of intentions. Every time.
The comments I made were in jest, but with an underlying seriousness.
Call it tinfoil hat thinking if it makes you feel better. I've bounced some of my ideas off various people, those folk include a Dominican friar stationed in Rome, a civilian security contractor in Iraq, several retired police officers in this country and others. Every one of them feel we're in for "interesting" times over the next decade or so.
Discount it if you wish, I'm preparing for a storm. That DOES include firearms in my home and a willingness to use them if the necessity is unavoidable.

I think we should investigate her to see if she even has a brain.
I'mm of the opinion that she might, but never employs it.

@EarlyRiser: Next to religious and inspirational stories, this is one of the best reads that I have come across lately. I am passionate for freedom because I have seen it curtailed where I came from. However, this author, Kitty Werthmann, has experienced its loss in the worst possible way. What is alarming is how the events and ideas that she recalls is hauntingly similar to what is happening today. I have copied the entire article below at:

If and when that happens, I will need to move my family to evade Obama's "civilian force" & I would need something more than a baseball bat to protect them. This may be a Catholic blog site yet I think we need to wise as serpents while remaining innocent as doves. Hopefully, we'll never have to use our arms but, just as obedience is appropriate for a just ruler, rebellion is what a tyrant deserves. If the Germans with goodwill fought Hitler at the onset, there wouldn't be a WWII.
