OK. I officially pronounce San Francisco County Jail’s San Bruno lockup the worst prison in the world for white collar criminals. Because some geniuses there just put free condom dispensers in each cell pod.
Have at them white collar criminals, boys. If you’re in prison for tax evasion or money laundering your world just got a little darker today.
They’re going to rape anyway so we might as well make it safe rape. Honest to goodness that’s the logic of the liberal nutjobs there.
How about…I don’t know…trying to actually stop the raping that’s going on behind bars? Crazy idea, right?
San Francisco Gate reports:
“It may be controversial,” Sheriff Michael Hennessey said, “but I think the larger health education message is important.”
As for the chance that all those machines will actually promote jailhouse sex?
The sex already takes place, says Kate Monico Klein, who is directing the program for the city’s Public Health Department. “If (providing condoms) saves one or two lives, it’s worth it,” she said.
Is she for real?
Gonorrhea ridden prisoners are going to put condoms on before forcibly raping their accountant cell mate? Because they care? Really?
Side bet: How long until someone’s suffocated to death in that prison because a condom was pulled over his head? Weeks?
I’m afraid I’m with Charlton on this one. It’s not a prison…

Clearly, you have never actually seen a condom, because there is no way you could pull one over someone's head.

Absurd proposal from absurd people who should also be behind bars for the crime of stupidity.

Personal Failure: google "How to put a condom on your head". You'll be surprised.

PersonalFailure- I've seen it done, believe me, a condom is pretty dang stretchy.
This is pretty sick.

G.K. Chesterton: "It's the first effect of not beleiving in God that you lose your common sense."
It also lets them off the hook for not doing their job by trying to prevent rapes in the first place.

Is this grounds for re-assessing the Church's stance on the death penalty? If we are not in fact able to have humane prisons or some other form of punishment, the execution of murderers and especially rapists may be necessary.

This world just gets stupider every single minute. It's almost beyond embarrassing.

This is so typical liberal. In their "compassion" they deny other people's humanity. Disgusting. I think a lawsuit is in order here.

Putting a condom over someone's head is the standard sex-ed class demonstration when someone says they don't make condoms big enough for him.
Personal Failure, indeed.
Major, major sick. Darkly up-side, this means that they are acknowledging that sex will be happening, which should make them open to being charged for failure to prevent the rapes.

It also shouldn't be qualified as "sex," per se. It's RAPE, people!

And even if the condom can't be pulled over the head, it can still be shoved down a windpipe. Or stuffed full of something to turn it into a weapon. Prisoners are notorious for making a weapon out of anything, which makes putting hollow tubes of latex into prison cells even more of a stupid idea. Besides, I really doubt a rapist is going to pause to put on a condom first, unless he also has a sense of irony.

"Clearly, you have never actually seen a condom, because there is no way you could pull one over someone's head."
It depends on the head….

First off, as Suzanna said, a rapist isn't going to pause to put on a condom first. If he has an STD, what does he care if he gives it to someone else?
My heart just sunk when I read this:
"If (providing condoms) saves one or two lives, it's worth it,"
Is a person's emotional and psychological stability not a part of their 'life'?! Save their bodies…to hell with their souls! I wonder if Ms. Klein ever considered the possibility that a person traumatized to that extent(raped) might not want to live anymore.
God help us all. Every sex offender (whether coming into the prison system, or offending once in it) ought to be chemically castrated. If you can't use it right—you loose it.

Cheryl: Castration of humans is banned by the Church. I understand the desire to protect people from sex offenders, but there are other ways to do so.
