As you have probably heard, Christine O’Donnell won the Republican primary in Delaware for the Senate seat. The story for the first few days after her victory was about how establishment Republicans have it out for her (they do).
But now professional leftist loudmouth Bill Maher has tried to undercut and embarrass the candidate by releasing a video of her back in the 90’s talking about some tenuous connection she had with witchcraft in high school. High school.
Now of course, such things are never to be dabbled in, no matter what your age. But Maher is not concerned for her soul; he does not believe she has a soul. Rather, Maher seeks to embarrass her and maybe disqualify her in the eyes of voters–in particular…

Bill Maher is a prime example of mistaking breathing for life itself. Sure, he inhales and exhales, but beyond that a pet rock has more gray matter. What does that say about his audience?

I am really tired of people going on and on about mistakes people made in high school or college. The unforgiving nature of most Christians for other Christians is a real beam in the eye knocking over the most decent of people.
What is she like now?

magda, I think the point that CMR is making is that nobody is really caring about what O'Donnell did in high school except the far left (and some entrenched Republicans) because they are afraid of the common sense and foundation in reality that she exhibits now– that more and more Americans are looking to in government.

Since I adore reading/listening to the rather unbalanced* end of the Uber-Christian spectrum, I think it's a little funny for them to harp on this– most of the really devout Uber-born again folks dabbled in one form or another of witchcraft.
*conspiracy theory, demons-and-angels-everywhere, everything including static on the line could be a message from God, aliens are supernaturals, there are a LOT of very active secret societies that are as powerful as you've heard and the Catholic Church is pagan type folks. Peering into Darkness podcast is a good entry point. {they do end up with a lot of good stuff, none the less– just goes to show that being wacky is no bar to being good}
