If the Republicans didn't bother to pass a permanent Hyde Amendment when they controlled both houses of Congress and the Presidency for six straight years, they sure aren't going to do it now.
Replacing the Democrats with the Republicans is like replacing the Gambinis with the Bonannos.

I don't either, but there is certainly more reason to hope than before. Most of the people who are pleased with the election outcome are thinking and usually indicated the requisite reservations regarding the GOP's mixed record.
