Great find from Kathryn Lopez at The Corner. For all the great work done in the Catholic blogosphere sometimes I wonder if Kathryn Lopez might be the best Ctholic blogger out there.
Anyway, here’s a touching story from American Idol about a young mother with a special needs child. Idol judge Jennifer Lopez comes off as very human and kind as well. Nice story.

I watched this part. I too was deeply touched, how she chose her child even her doctor said this child could hardly live a normal life but look at the child, she's wonderful, sweet and adorable. The doctor was wrong, Ms. Paris was right and thanks for pro-LIFE moms like her. Thanks to Ms. Jenifer Lopez for her very positive response. I will be following the career of this pro-life mom from that day when she auditioned until she wins the competition.

I watched it and found it very touching. I was pleasantly surprised that Jennifer Lopez has not let her celebrity go to her head.

This unlocks the key as to why people hate Sarah Palin so much. Women like Paris and Sarah trusted God and the voice of conscience and let their babies live, and they correctly report that these special children are the BEST thing that has ever happened to them, and a source of endless happiness and joy.
People who have killed their "imperfect" or unwanted children envy and hate this joy. They lash out at the obvious beauty that wounds them in the depths of their conscience every time they see it. They sought to preserve what they thought was a perfect life through murder, and instead of making their lives better, it has made life so much worse.

On the subject of pro-life I am asking your faithful readers to say a prayer for my daughter who is going through a difficult time in her pregnacy (today). The baby when born will be named Philomena. Thank you for your generosity.

Anon… you have my prayers.
This video was very touching. I cried. I love that song too. I will actually start watching AI just to watch and pray for this young lady and if she makes it through, I will vote for her. 🙂

Matt! I had this on my blog 4 days before KJL…not that I'm keeping score or anything 😉 But, you're right. She's amazing!
