Are these people dain bramaged?
Police arrested an 11 year old boy for drawing stick figure with a gun shooting teachers. Inappropriate drawing? Yup. Jail-able offense? Are you kidding?
I can understand some concern about the nature of the drawing and/or perhaps the school mandating some sort of evaluation. But then the police show up to the kids home and arrest him, print him, and throw him in a cell for drawing stick figures? That is insane.
It seems that in this case, the school acted reasonably. The rest is jut insane.

Wow! The Charge against the child, "Interfering with staff and students at an educational facility." Sounds like something a commmunist institution would say.
I can imagine it, "This person was interfering with the state and the public at a government institution. Jail 48 hours months and placed on house arrest for 6 months."

The reason the boy drew the picture is because with ADD the kids get frustrated and teachers often make them fell stupid. Who wants to go to school and be made to feel stupid everyday? The kid drew out his frustration, which is appropriate, and never acted on it. Arresting him, will probably make him even angrier. ADD is a legitimate issue that many kids deal with, I know this personally, and I have personally been told by some educators, and a lot of parents, that it is a discipline problem, even though extensive testing says it is not. These parents should be appaulded for having therapy for their child, and for teaching their child an appropriate outlet for frustration. The school personell should be arrested for abusing the boy by having him arrested!!

I've read the article and I still don't understand how the boy was interfering with staff and students. It seems to me that he cooperated fully. I hope the parent plan on suing.

They should file a counter charge against the police department for the unlawful arrest and imprisonment.

The wages of political correctness. Hope the parents have a brilliant lawyer.

Aren't there any real criminals for these Keystone Kops to arrest?

…because the Ten Commandments and God is taken out of the public school, the child feels oppressed by his imprisonment at school and hates it there without the God of Love.
