I found myself cringing when the sound of the machine came on- and it was only a pretend bunny getting pretend blended. No wonder Abby Johnson found her way out of banned parenthood
A great ad, it goes straight to the gut! I'll bet the PETA fanatics will bitch about it. They're soooo sensitive. Many of them are pro-abortion, but the thought of someone killing an animal for food or self-defense send them into a rage.
I am as actively pro-life as they come, but I don't like this ad one bit. And, I can't really put my finger on what it is that bothers me about it (this would probably be a much more interesting comment if I could!). I have the sense that it will be entirely ineffectual in converting hearts and minds. Many pro-lifers may like it, the opposition clearly won't, but I think the muddled-middled will just be turned off by the ick factor and not spend much time thinking about its association with the issue of abortion or Planned Parenthood.
Suzanne,
A few years back Michigan and Tennessee Right to Life ran ads that appealed to women in trouble. The ads were VERY effective (but costly). I think the reason why you don't like this ad is because though SO TRUE, you may think it won't change the hearts of women who are struggling. Something the Pro-ABorts claim a hold on (that they help women). While I believe people need to know the horror of what they are doing, I also believe the pro-life message is MOST effective when combined with how abortion HURTS women and the Pro-Life movement can help women as well as save babies. I have an old VHS copy of the TN & MI Right to Life videos. I wish I could find them online since they were so VERY effective. It would be good to see them used on the internet. People struggling may tend to turn a blind eye to the horrors of abortion, but if they see a different way out of their struggle, then they embrace LIFE. Women need to know that we Pro-Life people LOVE THE BABY's LIFE & THEIR LIFE. Pro-aborts have had a monopoly on "helping women" and women don't realize that they are actually being hurt. That is the message that is most effective in changing hearts.
It is not as graphic as showing a bloody dismembered formed human baby wrapped up in paper and thrown in the trash and that happens countless times a day.
Maybe it will finally connect the dots for the PETA people…go ahead and protect animals, but don't be PRO baby killing, then. That whole disconnect never makes sense to me.
I'm sorry but I think it is ads like this that make people who are pro choice even more pro choice. That ad was retarded. SNL or any other comedy show couldn't think up a better spoof. Quit beating around the bush. You aren't going to win over anyone by putting a bunny in a blender; that is comedy.

Wow. Straight to the point and makes you think. Is this playing on TV? I hope so.

Wow.
That is a really good right to life ad. Where is it being used?

That is not comedy. This ad is horrifying, especially if you're aware of common methods of abortion.
