Here’s the deal. About.com is running a contest about which Catholic newspaper is the best. And I want you to vote for the Register for three reasons:
1) I work there and want everyone there owing me something,
2) It’s actually the best Catholic newspaper.
3) We CANNOT let the National Catholic Reporter win. Cannot.
You can actually vote once a day so act like a Democrat and vote often.
Look, I’m not saying that a vote for “The Reg” (which is what cool people call it) will get you out of Purgatory faster but I’m saying it might. So if you care about the state of your eternal soul, do you really want to take chances?

Were The Remnant?

Just voted and thought it was funny that both "the Reg" and Our Sunday Visitor have well over 1000 votes and the National Catholic Reporter has just over 200. Keep up the great work!

I'll vote once a day but I don't have time to remember that. If you post a daily "reminder to vote today" I'll do it every time it shows up on my RSS feed as a new, unread item.

Oh, just you wait. Those votes for the National Catholic Reporter are gonna go through the roof as soon as some of their readers grandchildren teach them how to turn on their computers and use that new fangled mouse thingy.

Now, that's a funny line.

If I could only muster the kind of charity to do so, I'd cast a sympathy vote for the National Catholic Reporter just to pull it out of the dogpile a bit.

Done, and will tomorrow.
