A prayer request.
Hi guys,
My name is Paul and I’m a long-time reader of CMR. Right now I’m living in Japan, where, as you may be aware, a massive earthquake struck earlier today. I live in the Kansai region near Osaka, which is pretty far south of where the epicenter was located. Even so, we felt it here. As of now there are at least 200 reported dead and tens of thousands missing. I would be very grateful if you could encourage your readership to pray for the victims and to donate to the upcoming relief effort if possible.
Thank you,
Paul Schuble

We should all take a few moments to pray for the victims and pray for the safety of those preparing for trouble.
Michelle Malkin has news and video and is also asking for prayers.

Found out my friend is safe. She made it to her in-laws on high ground.

Blue shoe is sleeping now, I think, so that's why he isn't being responsive (he's my friend). I'll send him back here when he wakes up to try and help out some of you that had questions.

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry I was MIA for so long! I'm glad to hear you heard from your friend, Sue. Ibaraki is further north than Tokyo but below where the quake was strongest, so it looks like things may be a bit messy there, but not one of the worst areas.
Franklin, I can't say anything definitively, but from what I've seen on the news and read, aside from the refinery fire in Chiba, there haven't been any major incidents there. Luckily that area was far enough south that although there was some infrastructural damage, it doesn't look like many if any people have been hurt.

Thank you SO MUCH, Blue Shoe! Those are encouraging words.
I hear that around a million people are without water. That's not good. And I sure hope that everyone has their Potassium Iodide pills already.
(I'm wondering why they haven't yet distributed them in Hawaii, AK and CA yet. A meltdown/explosion would bring that downwind in no time.)
MANY prayers!
