I saw this picture and thought “Oh the Magical Imaginary Beings Convention was TODAY?” Darn it. I missed it again. But at least this pic was taken of Barack Obama and the Easter Bunny. It got me thinking that the similarities between the two are pretty remarkable. Here’s the top 7:
1) It’s difficult to trace the origins of both Obama and the Easter Bunny.
2) Both exist only in the minds of the immature.
3) Both pull things from out their @$$ and expect you to freak out and be thankful.
4) Both leave gifts for people regardless of merit. No naughty list. Nothing. Whoever wants treats gets treats.
5) Hollywood is enamored of both.
6) Both claim a connection to Christianity but there’s little evidence of how.
7) Both like to play on green pastures around holes.
If you’ve got more similarities please add them in the combox.

To Andrew Mason: Have you seen these stories?
Kenyan-born Obama all set for US Senate

Kenyan Minutes, 3/25/10: "How could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the President of America?" (p. 31)

Anyone to be president of America by constitutional law must be a natural born citizen and produce his original birth certificate. That's an indisputable fact. He or she must 35 years or older. Only the office of president requires this. Arnold Swartzenagger (sp) is not a natural born citizen and he is legally governor of California. The issue of Obama's legal, natural citizenship to qualify him for presidency was to have been satisfied BEFORE the election. Why wasn't it??? I want to know.
April 13, 2011 at 1:39 am
You see, neither is wearing the American Flag. The Easter Bunny is there to say Good Bye as an expression of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Obama is there to take possession of the people as property.

"Why are you wearing that rabbit suit?"
"Why are you wearing that human suit?"

Anonymous: The first link is broken, and as for the quote you provide it doesn't prove that he was born in Kenya just because somebody in Kenya thinks that he was. After all, that person may have just read too much Drudge or logged onto the Fox News website a few too many times and picked up on the misinformation.
Mary: I am aware of the constitutional requirements for being president. Obama provided his "short form" birth certificate quite a while ago, probably before the election, and the courts ruled that the "birthers" have no right to obtain his "long form" certificate because only close family members have such a right. Why isn't that enough? That's what I want to know. I'd also like to know why McCain wasn't subjected to such scrutiny, considering that he was born in Panama.
April 13, 2011 at 2:07 am
Andrew: If I'm not mistaken, McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone which at the time was under U.S. control, so technically he was born in United States territory, which makes him a natural-born citizen. He is the son of a United States Admiral and his mother was also a U.S. citizen. There is really no question about his citizenship. The fact that you would even bring it up is even more silly than people who legitimately question Obama’s birth. At least in the case of Obama there are some real questions involved. Obama was born to a Communist activist who was a citizen of Kenya. There is some question about his mother’s whereabouts near the time of his birth. It is not at all clear that she was in Hawaii when he was born. I agree with you that the whole question is a mute point…but I think the point of this post was to be humorous, not start a debate. Why don’t you loosen up a bit?
April 13, 2011 at 2:10 am
The wise and mature among us don't believe in Obama or the Easter Bunny.
April 13, 2011 at 2:40 am
Thomas: I agree that McCain was clearly born in a place that was at least tenuously considered to be US territory, and that Congress had set rules in place for considering people born there as natural-born citizens (although those rules were only enacted in 1937, and before that people born there were considered naturalized citizens). I also think that Obama's status as a natural-born citizen is clear, which is why I made the comparison. If you consider the one to be important, you should consider the other one to be as well. Any question of Obama's status should be put to rest by the "short form" birth certificate, which is legally acceptable as proof of birth in any court in the USA and which has already been provided. If "birthers" aren't satisfied with that much proof, what will satisfy them? As I said before, my problem with this argument lies not in opposition to Obama's policies (which I also oppose) but rather in the fact that such stupidity only serves to discredit any opposition to Obama no matter how rational.
April 13, 2011 at 2:43 am
Thomas: Question, are you referring to Obama Sr. when you say "Communist activist who was a citizen of Kenya"? I'm not sure how it matters where he was when Obama Jr. was born.
April 13, 2011 at 3:02 am
Andrew Mason: The broken link means the article has been scrubbed. BTW, it appeared yesterday. However, some savvy patriots captured a screen shot and sent it to Mr. Trump. Kudos to him for doing what Congress and the media refuse to do. BTW, read up on Vattel's Law of Nations for a crystal-clear definition on natural-born citizen. You just might learn a thing or two…
April 13, 2011 at 3:32 am
Anonymous: Are you being serious? It seems an awful lot like you're just pretending to be as crazy as you appear, at least I'm hoping as much. I'm pretty sure that natural born citizenship includes people born in Hawaii, so that doesn't need clarifying. I'm not sure where this conversation is going, since you seem impervious to facts that contradict your worldview, so I think we should just leave it at that.
April 13, 2011 at 4:23 am
Andrew, I have a big favor to ask. It involves some coal, but within six weeks we'll both be rich.
Seriously dude, take a chill pill. It's a joke thread.
April 13, 2011 at 4:55 am
Both have enjoyed grass.
Both struggle with completing sentences.
Neither knows reality.
April 13, 2011 at 4:14 pm
wow. I think we should start doing opposites with this photo. Easter Bunny hides eggs which represent fertility and new life, Obama destroyer of life. E.B. is for children. O. wants to reduce the number of children. E. B. looks intelligent in this photo by comparison.
April 13, 2011 at 6:14 pm
You haven't examined your bunny/Obama thing carefully enough.
Actually, Obama IS the Easter Bunny. Have you ever seen both of them at the same time?
April 13, 2011 at 6:48 pm
"Both hide behind Bush when there's trouble."
Receives my vote for best comment.
April 13, 2011 at 6:51 pm
Both eat a lot of vegetables and salads. One because he likes it, the other because his wife makes him.
April 13, 2011 at 6:54 pm
I also think that Obama's status as a natural-born citizen is clear, which is why I made the comparison.
Well, then why won't he give authorization for the release of his vault certificate? Is he cynically playing a segment of the electorate for his own personal gain?
April 13, 2011 at 8:27 pm
Is he cynically playing a segment of the electorate for his own personal gain?
Ding ding ding ding. It is to Obama's benefit to have this silly side story play out, as he gets to have a fair chunk of his opposition portrayed as obsessive loons.
