Part of running for President is having a message and sticking to it. Failure to do so is kind of a problem. Tim Pawlenty showed that staying on message might not be his strong suit.
This week, Pawlenty was on Piers Morgan and said he was running for President. But then Pawlenty’s people scrambled around to announce that Pawlenty’s announcement wasn’t an announcement but that an announcement would come later. Or something.
Dude, if you can’t handle Piers freakin’ Morgan who can you handle?
Maybe he’ll recover but I think this has to be the worst kickoff to a presidential campaign…evah.
Here’s the vid of Pawlenty on Piers Morgan:

He's got my vote. Oh, wait. My people are announcing that my vote has not yet been determined and I will in fact wait until November 2012 to make my decision final.

This is funnier than Trump running.
Actually, it's not funny that Trump's running because he's pulling another Giuliani stunt to get the most liberal Republican elected after he drops out (yes, I predict Trump will drop out like Rudy did, albeit with a little more pomp and flash per Trump's ego).

Amy, that's funny. How are you feeling? Aren't you ready to pop yet?

Thanks, Matt. 6 weeks to go, though I will not mind if she wants to show up a week early.
