Father Michael Pfleger, the bombastic Obama supporting Chicago priest, recently made some very disturbing comments that call into question his willingness to stay in the Church.
This can only be described as a tantrum.

Welcome to my world. The sad thing is that Leo High School us roughly across the street from St Sabina and he'd have the chance to continue serving the same community. But nooooooooooo.
By the way, this is the same priest who deliverd the "I'm white and I'm entitled" sermon about Hillary Clinton during Obama's run for president.

Of course he preached against white privilege because that is acceptable racism from those who hate whites.
It can never being conceded by the enemies of the white man that he has accomplished anything on his own.. What the white man has is because of theft and deception and his accomplishments are due solely to the fact that he stole everything from the poor black man and/or exploited him and the black man is not responsible for his own condition.
I am not 'zactly sure how the existence of Christian Civilisation can be rationally attributed to blacks in Africa but I am sure Fr Pflegler can tell us 🙂

To be honest, I'm sick of reading of this priest. He upsets me more than the philosopher Hume.
Regarding I.a.n.S: As a proud male of European descent (French and English, somehow…), my patron saint, Augustine, was African. It is said that Augustine helped forge the Medieval Ages and is one of the Church's Doctors.

LOL Great point, Mr. Hayden. Indeed he was born in Africa. I am guilty of having internalised the errors of my enemies by reflexively thinking that "african" means black.
Thanks for the correction.
BTW, Charles Schwartzel, the recent Masters Champion, was born in South Africa and is now living in Florida. Does that mean we can call him an African-American? 🙂

Why, why, why is this allowed to go on for years? Why??? This man clearly teaches against Doctrine. I am sure the Masses he performs are filled with liturgical abuses since he is so outspoken against church teaching. Cardinal Raymond Burke at the Vatican said; "If we err by thinking
we are the center of the liturgy, the Mass will lead to a loss of faith," A LOSS OF FAITH. I see this all the time!!! Cardinal Burke went on to say; 'too many priests and bishops treat violations of liturgical norms as something that is unimportant when, in fact, they are "serious abuses."' Seriously, this man, this Priest, is leading souls astray. He is leading souls away from Salvation. Where is his Bishop on this matter & where has he been for the past years!!!! I understand his Bishop Cardinal George actually gave this Priest a Lifetime Achievement Award, even though he has been disciplined & commits liturgical abuse. This is SO SERIOUS!!! These are the souls of our people we are talking about. Liturgical abuse is a Protest of Catholicism, which would make it Protestant, there is a reason the Liturgy should be done properly; Here is a sample of Fr. Pfleger ad-libbing the Mass confusing orders, misuse of table, non-Catholic Eucharistic Prayer-loosely Catholic consecration, using wrong vessels, wearing wrong vestments etc;

Dear Sue, The reason can be found in Pope John XXIII's opening speech of The Second Vatican Council. The modern Church took the decision not to impose ecclesiastical discipline. Sure, it was an obvious prudential error, but the modern Papacy only apologises for the acts of long dead Christians. They will not apologise for misreading the signs of the time and they will not apologise for abandoning ecclesiastical discipline
As Dom Gueranger, "Liturgical Year" pointed out "…ecclesiastical discipline, without which all is disorder and confusion." The great man was right and he he was writing in the 19th century.
The modern church has decided it is mean to expel the wolves. They have rights, don'cha know. They have free reign to assault the sheep while The Bishops have meetings at places like The Breakers on Palm Beach and they create the Campaign for Human Development where they take your hard-earned money and give it to abortionists and communists etc etc
When you have a Church creating a book of blessings that creates no blessings then you have no time to police priests like Pflegler. (Do you know that your Priest does not Bless the Holy Water, for instance?)
In other words kid, you are on your own. Our Catholic Church issues Encyclicals, papers, etc. It rarely acts.
Find a local FSSP or some Traditional Order in union with St Peter's Successor because the modern church is a maelstrom of madness.

So, even when a Priest openly defies Doctrine nothing can be done?? I am lucky I do have a Orthodox church to go to here where I live. But being in my 30's I am part of the generation that I feel is unchatechized. I have only learned what a know through great parents, and then reading on my own. I am pretty sick and tired of "tolerance" which really means "tolerance of sin" being described as loving. It IS NOT LOVING. You cannot sin & Love at the same time. Don't get me wrong, I am all for compassion and love but it needs to be tempered with discipline and our kids need to be taught right & wrong. It used to be the church did that (maybe a little too much and the love was lost) but good golly the tolerance of sin is KILLING US. This past year I have personally had friends OD and die on drugs, murder one another (in two cases) and rapes left & right at the college level (roofies) all from and by CATHOLICS and at CATHOLIC SCHOOLS. We have taught them nothing is wrong and now we are on a path to DEATH. Because everything is tolerated there is no respect for anything. It makes me want to SCREAM. It is not loving to say it is OKAY to SIN. It sends the wrong messgae. It is loving to teach what is RIGHT. Okay I'll get off my soapbox now, but one reason I love this blog, even though I don't always feel the love, is that right & wrong are called out. Okay I know this is about Fr. Pfleger, but he is a case in point, supporting a President who thinks infanticide is okay, because he must be loving if he wants to socialize the country. This stuff makes me want to vomit.

The Orthodox have their own set of problems, including homosexual clerics, and their Doctrine is suspect (See, I am charitable) in more than one area.
Stick with the Catholic Church and Rome which has never taught Doctrinal Error whereas, for example, Constantinople, was suffused with heresies for centuries.

… as noted in the NCR article, I would not want Father to be a principal at my children's Catholic school. For a priest with his public display of disobedience and preaching unsound doctrine, and unChristian behavior and rhetoric, it is chilling to me as a parent that this priest is the best the Cardinal could assign to the young souls at this inner city school and for the families of those children. It makes me very sad for all concern particularly Catholic families who keep getting milk toast soul care.

Spartacus, by Orthodox, I don't mean Eastern, I just mean following the Standard of Rome set by Pope Benedict XVI. A church that adheres to real church teaching.
