Think about what these pro-aborts are writing. It’s Good Friday so…we need abortion escorts. It’s the day our Lord was escorted to His death so let’s commemorate it by escorting mothers in to kill their children.

Um, yeah, that was kinda my point (*facepalm*).
And your ignorance about science and the medical facts about prenatal development (and what an abortion actually entails) are almost as laughable as your ignorance about morality and scripture. Indeed, it would be funny if so many lives were not at stake.
You not only need God, you need to take a basic Biology class.
However, you have certainly reinforced what I've suspected all along. People who are pro-abortion are not necessarily "bad" people; they're ignorant people. There's no other word for it. And your ignorance is truly sad because it is a willful ignorance.
Indeed, I've wasted too much time with you. It's clear that only God (or perhaps a medical textbook) can cure you of your ignorance.

"Each of us is the result of a thought of God. Each of us is will, each of us is loved, each of us is necessary."– Benedict XVI
When I encounter women like Lita, I must admit my first thought is, "What was God thinking?"
But then I remember he made me… and several family members… and the crazy guy next door…
I know where our new abortuary is. I think I'll drop buy tomorrow to pray a rosary.

If that was really how people lived, it would be wonderful. I wish more people lived by the code of "Judge not, lest ye be judged." I think I should also state that I support religions and that I'm not an atheist; I live in a comfortable state of knowing that there is something greater than me that I can not understand. However, I also have different views of deities and the soul than Christians have.
I appreciate your apparent compassion and your level-headedness.

An "escort"? Do you mean that these people accompany the mothers in the clinic in case they should decide not to kill their baby anymore?
Seriously?
What has the world come to..

Mandabor: An escort simply walks with the patients to the door or away from the harassment. No one is forcing women into an abortion.

Will this attempt to rally the pro-abort troops go as well as your epically failed Walk for Choice?

When you watch an abortion, and you see the baby struggle to get away, only to see her be sucked limb from limd until the heart stops beating and the womb is empty, there is NOTHING, NOTHING, you can say in that moment that makes that right. Whether you believe in God or not (which I do), there is nothing, when watching that that makes it right. It clearly destroys a human being. It also has destroyed some of my friends lives. No gift of child, no gift of motherhood. I have never had a friend regret a baby, but plenty regret the abortion. What message are we sending. Women, you are too weak, you cannot do this, kill your baby, it is easier. It is convenient. We have become a society that chooses EVIL over suffering, and yet, in the long run the suffering is usually worse. Lita, I will pray for you, even though you don't believe in God, doesn't mean he isn't there. I have personally seen miracles. Thank God your mother believed in Life. Some one who has a gift of photography should use it to promote good, not destruction.

You can describe away. Paint verbal images, hold up inaccurate pizza signs, but you are ignoring the reason escorts are out there. It is to protect the women from the sidewalk stalkers that try to make it their own business. No one is 'pro abort' they just want women to be fully informed and make their own decisions. A decision that is not yours, Dan Miller, or 'gods' to make. They are protecting. You are screaming and guilt-tripping. And by the by, I don't think Jesus ever used those tactics.

I love how MELISSA calls Lita ignorant. The hypocrisy is delicious.
Lita uses her mind, her faith in humanity, her common sense, and her judgment to decide what is right for her.
You and those like you, Melissa, get everything you 'know' (which is still shockingly little) spoon fed to you. One book dictates your life. Not to even go into the fact that the Bible is made of contradictions. Have some original thought. People like you, mindless robots, are hurting religion more than anything else.
Have a little faith in yourself before throwing your hollow remarks onto Lita, who is clearly wise and mentally strong. Not to mention she's called you out on several things already which you seem confused by as you have no response.

Before you spout your nonsense
"I'll pray for you! I'll pray for you! There is a hell, don't ya know! You'll see!"

Anonymous:
I see you're throwing out the usual anti-Bible stuff. Ho-hum…
Here's the thing: Historical Christianity has opposed abortion from the start. The Didache, a Christian document from the first century, says: "do not murder a child or kill a newborn infant." And from The Letter of Barnabas: "Thou shalt not slay the child by procuring abortion; nor, again, shalt thou destroy it after it is born." Christians were also known (and reviled) for rescuing infants abandoned by their families to die of exposure.

Planned Parenthood does not fully inform women. They fight sonograms every step of the way. They DO NOT want women to see them. Because they would see life. I do not need to Paint Verbal Images. You need to Watch an abortion so you can see what you are defending. Seriously watch one. It is our obligation to protect the innocent. A newborn baby can't live without her mother either, but we protect them. WOuld you help your friend murder a newborn if it was too hard to take care of her? Watch an abortion, just watch one. Know what you are defending. If you haven't seen one, at all stages of pregnancy, you have no business even commenting. After you watch one, then feel free to comment. Those "innacurate pizza signs" aren't innaccurate. There are plenty of abortion videos, just google, 1st trimester, 2nd trimester and 3rd trimester abortion and watch.

And since you consider yourselves feminists, let me supply you with a few quotes from some:
Guilty? Yes. No matter what the motive, love of ease, or a desire to save from suffering the unborn innocent, the woman is awfully guilty who commits the deed. It will burden her conscience in life, it will burden her soul in death; But oh, thrice guilty is he who drove her to the desperation which impelled her to the crime! – Susan B. Anthony
When we consider that women are treated as property, it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit – Elizabeth Cady Stanton
The rights of children as individuals begin while yet they remain the foetus. – Victoria Woodhull, first female presidential candidate
Abortion is the ultimate exploitation of women. – Alice Paul, author of the original Equal Rites Amendment

"An escort simply walks with the patients to the door or away from the harassment"
Oh please…
"Harassment" that someone might stay there simply praying, or trying to point out to her in various ways that she is going to kill her baby?

"And by the by, I don't think Jesus ever used those tactics".
Well inform yourself better then. Jesus talks more about Hell, and threatens with it more liberally, than the rest of the Bible together.
You are clearly confusing Jesus with some Gandhi-cum-Mandela innocuous chap you have created in your fantasy.
Jesus used a very clear and (make no mistake) **very harsh** language. Truth straight from the source. You just need to read the Gospel instead of talking of Jesus by hearsay.

“Which of the two do you want me to release to you?”
They answered, "Barabbas!”
Pilate said to them,
“Then what shall I do with Jesus called Christ?”
They all said,
“Let him be crucified!”
But he said,
“Why? What evil has he done?”
They only shouted the louder,
“Let him be crucified!”
They are still shouting for Barabbas.

To tell me to go watch an abortion is to assume I have not or I do not have the knowledge of what goes on during an abortion. These assumptions and unwillingness to know a person's circumstances are a big part of the problem with sidewalk stalkers and Christians as well. I am well aware of the workings of a clinic and of those who associate with the church. I have been in a church and a clinic. Most of the vultures who stand outside trying to pick off women have only been in one of the two but feel it is their place to spout off about what they don't know and people they have no business interfering with.
Funny how you cherry picked a few women to try to negate my feminist ideals and choice views. This is easily done and I know a several people who can talk you up, down, and sideways about scriptures, the inaccuracy of the church, and, above all, the contradictions of the bible itself.
Not to mention it's absurd to think that a few old men, thousands of years ago, know more now about the life process, biology, and universe than the scientist and clear minded thinkers of today. Come along, now.
If sidewalk stalkers only stood outside the clinic and prayed quietly, I would not have such a problem with them. I have personally been yelled at and shoved, not to mention many other women and escorts who have had things thrown at them, tripped, screamed at, and verbally abused. The leader of the 40 Days crusade here said of an elderly escort that if she got in his way again she would 'taste pavement'. Upstanding bunch.
Christians I've encountered have spoken up and down about how loving Jesus was. How welcoming and soft he could be and how he just wants to love us. Now you say that Jesus was in fact a harsh-mouthed man spreading and threatening Hell? First of all, gee whiz let me get in line to follow him, second, I guess that the fact that Jesus spoke harshly makes it okay for the vultures who stand outside of clinics to yell, push, throw flowers at and attempt to guilt trip women into thinking they are bad people for wanting to talk to people who will LISTEN and help them. The fact that Jesus was rude certainly justifies nosey, self riotous banshees to emotionally scar women until they get up ever sunday, dress up, and go apologize for being human.
Way to go! 🙂

Clinics do, in fact, inform women of their options. That is why counselors and therapists work in them. Many clinics, in fact, turn away many women after they talk with them. If a woman does not seem of sound mind or seems as though she is being coerced into something she doesn't want to do, the procedure will not be performed. Clinics exist to give options, someone to talk to about them, and to listen to the women. They exist to keep women from resorting to hangers or unsafe methods. They are not there to drive up numbers, they are there as resources. And do some research, as far as the services Planned Parenthood provides, 3% are abortions.

I don't know why I'm shocked by the stupidity displayed by pro-choicers … but I always am. Kudos to the brave souls on this page who tried to reason with them. However, if science and common ethics haven't convinced them that their position is bankrupt, I doubt an online conversation will. Sad, pathetic, and ignorant: these are the only words to describe what I read here.
