Former Governor, Gay American, and New Jersey Corruptacrat has beeen denied the priesthood by the Episcopalians because, and I quote, he is a “jackass.”
No longer governor of New Jersey, Jim McGreevey, 53, thought he could become a priest. However, he can’t — at least not yet. The Episcopal Church has denied McGreevey his bid to join the priesthood.
McGreevey drew national attention in August 2004 when he abruptly announced his plans to resign in November 2004. He told the world “I am a gay American” as he stood on stage with his ex-wife Dina. After that, their sensational divorce proceedings played out publicly.
…
Another source said that McGreevey was rejected not for being gay, but for being a “jackass” in his divorce proceedings, which damaged his reputation. They feared that McGreevey was possibly using the clergy as a tool to rebuild his tarnished image rather than focus on God. Both McGreevey and Newark Diocese’s Bishop Mark Beck declined to comment.
Being denied priesthood in the Episcopalian Church is humiliating. I mean, this lady is in charge of the Episcopalian Church.
I mean how lame do you have to be turned down by the organization headed by the lady in the clown outfit? I mean even people who were turned down for entrance into clown college look down on McGreevey.
How lame? This lame.
Maybe Jefferts Schori didn’t think he was man enough. Who are we to argue?

Jefferts Schori may be a lot of things but I don't think she's a lesbian.

Schori is not a lesbian. She merely would like to be one.

So, being a public and unrepentant sodomite is not sufficient to ensure "priesthood" among the Episcopalians anymore?
What has the world come to?

Wow, thanks. I have corrected it. Maybe it was the colors that confused me.

Wow! Nice to see all the Christian love on display here! "Sodomite??" "Man enough??" Using the same sartorial logic, one could find the apparel of bishops, cardinals, and popes "clownish" too. All those funny red hats?? And what's with the Pope's famous red shoes? Even Dorothy would be envious of those!

and this one put me over the edge: i cant follow your blog because most of what i've read in the last few weeks has been pedo-apoligism, homophobic, and sexist.
i wont read you any more because you're a jackass.

Pedo-apologism? I've been reading CMR for years, and not once have I seen a post where they've defended feet.

ludovico,
the term "sodomite" is so Christian that it is used in the Bible, and it is – specifically – so catholic that it is part of official Catholic doctrine (ever heard of the "sins crying to heaven for vengeance"? Thought not….).
It is typical of people like you to have a problem with Christianity whilst accusing Christians of not following it.

A Sodomite is a man or a woman who will gladly watch their beloved's soul go to hell for another moment of unbridled lust. The problem is not with Christianity. Christianity is the solution, the salvation of man. The problem with Christianity is that the love of God won't get one out of hell unless one embraces it.

So they had no problem with the Catholic priest in Florida who broke his vow of chastity on a public beach for all to see, but they have a problem with the guy who shouted his disregard for his marriage vows to any journalist who would listen? Seems like a double standard, but what else would we expect from the Episcopal Church?
A sad day indeed for New Jersey, I'm glad that I wasn't living here at the time to have potentially voted for the guy.

Yup, I am devoutly Catholic but this is obviously not the blog for me. Very un-Christian views here. Shameful.
April 27, 2011 at 7:09 pm
Well, that's a shame, because there's no better place to cruise gays right now than a seminary. Poor McGreevey will just have to settle for drag bars and mall restrooms. 🙁 Someone owes him a pedo-apology.

People, its not because he's gay, its 'cause he's a jackass. The pedo-apoligism, homophobia & sexism of this blog and its (happy) readers, notwithstanding, the man is a jackass and so, unqualified to be a priest. Even Episcopalians have to have SOME standards….
