Sorry UK. It’s all over. Either emigrate out of there or be assimilated into the stale horrific world of rampant political correctness.
This is amazing. And by amazing I mean sad yet completely predictable. A pub singer named Simon Ledger in the UK was arrested on charges of racism for singing the classic “Kung Fu Fighting” which happened to be heard by a Chinese person passing the pub who phoned the police.
The Daily Mail reports:
‘We were performing Kung Fu Fighting, as we do during all our sets,’ he said.
‘People of all races were loving it. Chinese people have never been offended by it before.
‘But this lad walking past with his mum started swearing at us and making obscene hand gestures before taking a picture on his mobile phone.
‘We hadn’t even seen them when we started the song. He must have phoned the police.’
Officers later called Mr Ledger while he was eating in a Chinese restaurant to arrange a meeting. The singer assumed it was a prank – but he was later arrested and is still under investigation.
‘They seemed pretty amazed but said the law is the law and it was their duty,’ he is reported to have said. ‘It’s political correctness gone potty. There are plenty of Welsh people at our shows – does it mean I can’t play any Tom Jones?’
I love the fact that he was at a Chinese restaurant when he was called by police about being arrested for racism against Chinese people.
When did freedom become the right not to be offended?
I’ve got to admit that this story makes me proud to be an American who can still highlight on my blog videos like…THIS!

Yes, I live in the UK and can confirm that the police must show that they are "doing something" everytime someone says that he has been racially abused. No doubt this will also go in the statistics of the racial abuses investigations and so on. It will also help the local police in their statistic of police arrested, etc.
This is the poisoned fruit of Tony Blairs' "efficiency drive", with statistics measurings pretty much everything and with the consequences we now see. Causes a lot of red tape, too, for which the government is always thankful.
The chinese boy was either drunk or very disturbed.
There is no way that this is going to end up with a conviction. The problem is that the police *must be seen to have done something* in order not to risk a complaint procedure and the accusation of neglecting minorities etc.
Mala tempora currunt.

P.s. my blog is strictly anonymous. It is beyond me that there still be people who don't understand why.

Is the movie, "Kung Fu Panda" banned in the UK, then? It uses the song too.
In fact, the panda in the film was an over the top combination of Chinese and panda stereotypes combined in a single character. That's not right. Mother Earth must be angry.
Pandas, which may soon have the same legal rights as other species (including homo sapiens) and representation at the UN, would be outraged at this film if they saw it.
We know that pandas get to watch "panda porn" in the zoos to try to help in reproduction (although it may be more for their zoo keepers – we don't know because it hasn't been studied yet). So based on their experience watching other movies, they should be free to watch films that do not portray them in such a silly and insulting way.
This song is racist. As a Kung FU fighter myself, I think it is also Kung Fu-ist because it assumes that all fighters are Chinese (or pandas). But I am African, as all humans are African, since we all came from Africa. (Really we are all just bits of the earth herself so it is better to say that we are not African but "Bits")
How long will the Chinese people, Kung Fu Fighters and Pandas put up with this outrageous stuff?! We are all the same after all!
May this song be banned, and the Movie "Kung Fu Panda" be banned too, for being Panda-ist! (I hope the British Boobies come and arrest them!)
Remember: Pandas are people too!

"Is the movie, "Kung Fu Panda" banned in the UK, then?"
No idea. Didn't even know that the song existed, either.
But to give you an idea, the owners of a "bed and breakfast" have been banned from refusing to give rooms to couples of homos – who also happen to be activists who had targeted the Christian couple – and our intrepid Prime Minister in cases like this has the gut to say that "Christians must be tolerant".
So for our prime minister non-Christians must not be tolerant of the religious convictions of a Christian, but christians must be tolerant of openly practised sodomy, under the roof of their own house.
Fine thinking, ain't it?
Obviously this doesn't refrain our PM from browning his nose on Catholic authorities whenever this is convenient, see Papal visit last September.

"When did freedom become the right not to be offended?"
When atheist Madalyn Murray O'Hair sued to the United States Supreme Court that her son was OFFENDED by prayer in public school. The Court said that the atheist could "go her own way" but everybody else would have to kiss the dirt after her path. Well, I AM OFFENDED BY THE ATHEIST'S OFFENSE, and she can eat her own dander. Only TRUTH has freedom of speech and press. All else is perjury in a court of law. The atheist never proved that the prayer was not TRUTH, or Bible reading is not TRUTH. TRUTH will set you free. TRUTH establishes the common good.
