On the heels of the much heralded heroism exhibited by the Navy Seals in the mission to take out Bin Laden, the New York Times Magazine slanders all fighting men and women by comparing them to “beasts.”
I don’t even know what to say about this so I’ll just show you the cover.

I'm a former Marine, here's my take…
the smaller text underneath says "the killing of 3 Afgan civilians by US Soldiers and what it says about war…."
This statement makes me want to embed some nice cozy journalists with the Taliban & Al Qaeda….maybe some of our female reports would be up for the challenge? Do do they remember what happened to Lara Logan? Where is the cover story there?
How about text reading "the slander of US Soldiers and what it says about arm chair journalists….
oh, by the way since 1918 the Marines have been PROUDLY know as Teufelshunde – Devil Dogs!… not beasts.

Oh, come on. It seems you have football players in your family. "He's a beast" is a HUGE compliment.

I so wish the liberals would start digging on their own grave on this one.
Being liberals, I expect that the "aren't we guilty bastards"-reflex will overcome them at some time; 9/11 or no 9/11….

It's politics like this that inspired the viral email "divorce" proposal, that progressives and sane Americans should agree to disagree, split up the property and live apart from each other. The progressives could defend themselves with an army of progressives, run their economy according to progressive principles and indoctrinate their children in political correctness in state-run schools. They would be free to operate their industries, their homes and their vehicles using renewable energy, like solar, wind and good old fashioned muscle power.

There's a little bit of savage in the heart of every man.

Of course there's a beast in the heart of every fighting man — and thank God for it! They have stood for two centuries between us and the heartless beasts that would destroy us. Pray that their controlled "inner" beast will continue to be strong enough to hold back the forces of evil.
