After 25 years of marriage, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver have announced that they are separated.
I have had many disagreements with Schwarzenegger and a many more with the Kennedy clan, but that is all politics. This is marriage. I am praying for Arnold and Maria that they may find their way, with God’s help, back together.

In a shock announcement, the couple who have four children together, released a joint statement saying they were living apart while they ‘work on the future’ of their marriage.

The Los Angeles Times broke the story late on Monday night saying that Shriver, 55, is ‘moving out of their Brentwood mansion while the two determine the next step in their 25-year marriage’.The newspaper said Shriver has actually been living apart from the actor-turned-politician for the last few weeks.
The former First Couple confirmed their separation on Monday night after questions were raised by The Times.
‘This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us,’ the couple said in a joint statement.
‘After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together.
‘At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship.’
The rest of the article deals with careers and other such inconsequential stuff. I hope their prayer brings them closer to God’s will and that they may understand in full the commitment they made.
I think I speak for all our readers when I say we want to see them make it.

The devil does his best to attack the family. I am praying for them as well. We need our families to stay intact.

That is a beautiful sentiment… but you probably care more about their marriage than they do. One palm will grease another and they'll procure an annulment from a back-pocket bishop, she'll find continuing fulfillment in her eco-wacky, pro-abort, made-for-Oprah lifestyle, and he'll have a some buxom young eye-candy on his arm in six months. So, pray hard, like you would pray hard for the law of gravity to somehow reverse itself.

Maybe she has watched one too many episodes of The Good Wife. Or The Kennedys.
This saddens me because it is another black-eye for the Church. What does a vow mean anymore? For better or worse or until we change our minds, or some young thing comes along.
Marriage is hard. It's suppose to be. Anything worth while is hard. Hope they find out how to hold on to each other and head for heaven. In the end, this is all that counts.
