While at a presser in Cannes, the director of Kirsten Dunst’s latest movie says he gets pleasure from being a Nazi. And then he criticizes Israel. And says he sympathizes with Hitler. What a boob. Doesn’t he realize he could’ve said horrible things about Christians with no repercussions whatsoever.
But forget about the idiot director, just watch Kirsten Dunst as she cringes.

Yep. Sitting next to a Nazi is pretty uncomfortable. But, he'll see no end to the line of ditzy starlets panting to star in his next project. She knew what kind of disturbing movies he's made in the past, so I don't know what her discomforture is about… oh, I know! She's acting! You see, she might need a job from a Jew some day. Another clearly planned, carefully rehearsed "scandal" to promote a film; made in a way that would allow him afterwards to say "oh, it was just a badly chosen joke". Old trick, and frankly easy to see through nowadays.
The sad reality is that we live in times that make it is more convenient for him to be talked about for cretinous talk, than to be ignored. He knows it and, I think, everyone present understood it too.
Besides, he is a tit just for the fact that he refuses to come to a press conference dressed in a proper way.
If he has no respect for the living, how will he have respect for the dead..

von Trier got a raw deal. He was just discussing his heritage and his search for authenticity in a joking manner. He probably got his sense of humor from his adoptive parents, but now that he has been outed as not-a-Jew it has become unacceptable. So he gets white knighted. Women and Jews: good grief.
