A group of activists attacked a presidential candidate. But don’t worry it was just a Republican attacked by abortion zealots and gay activists. So it’s not a big deal.
Could you imagine if someone did this to a big name Dem. We’d be seeing wall to wall coverage about the violent teabaggers.
Politico reports:
“A large protest gathered outside the AHIP conference chanting ‘Medicare for all!’ and ‘Single payer now!’ A few of the signs were targeted at Rep. Paul Ryan accusing him of being bought by insurance companies. Gov. Tim Pawlenty was ‘glittered’ by two protesters while signing books inside. A pair of women dumped pink glitter and confetti on the governor demanding ‘Tim Pawlenty, where is your courage to stand? Stand for reproductive rights! Stand for gay rights!'”
Newt Gingrich was the first 2012 candidate struck by a glitter attack, about a month ago in Minneapolis. Pawlenty apparently did not get as much glitter on him as Newt and the protestors were immediately removed.
What a bunch of jerks. So much for the new civility, huh?

You know. These women are so dumb. They have every right to reproduce. They have every right to be gay. As a matter of fact, if they were out exercising their rights, they probably wouldn't waste so many party supplies;)

That's my litmus test for the Republican nominee. Whoever earns the most pink glitter gets my vote. So, bring the sparkle!

Of course, if activists who really are gay throw the glitter, then the Republicans would be attacked by–literally–teabaggers!
