This is sick.
Taking a page out of that lunatic Fred Phelps’ playbook, the Teamsters Union, because of a dispute with a funeral home, is now threatening to protest funerals.
Now, please recall all the media outrage over Phelps’ protesting at funerals. Let’s just see where they are on this story. I predict absolute silence.

Despicable and self-serving…. where is the politically correct compassion for the bereaved? So much for secular ethics.

Although I am not a fan of unions, in all fairness, I think we need to read this more carefully.
The notice does NOT say that the union will be directly protesting DURING funerals a la Fred Phelps. It simply says that families who "make arrangements" at the targeted location "may encounter a labor dispute."
This could mean simply that families on their way to make initial arrangements with the funeral director or do other things that have to be done BEFORE a funeral (provide pictures for the obituary notice, pick out a casket, etc.) should not be surprised if they happen to see one or more picketers outside.
It doesn't necessarily mean they are going to be holding a full scale protest right in the middle of a scheduled wake or funeral service.
Wait and see what actually happens before you start making comparisons to the Westboro gang. If they actually do start waving their signs in the faces of grieving families or screaming "scabs!" at them, then the comparisions will be justified.

The inconsistency in media coverage is not necessarily borne from a hidden agenda. It could be very simple: they are NOT afraid of the Westboro Baptist Church; they ARE afraid of the Teamsters. One is more likely than the other to have a "goon squad." You decide.

Actually, they came to an agreement on Tuesday.
