My first thought was that this couldn’t be real. But sadly it is.
The good news is that God has better poll numbers than Obama. The bad news is it’s not by much.
Obama has been clocking in with a worrisome (for him) 43% approval rating which doesn’t say good things about his re-election chances. God, according to the Public Policy Polling, a Democrat polling firm, gets only a 52% approval rating by Americans. The silliness of that (and it’s plenty silly) is only outdone by the fact the polling center continuously refers to God as “it.”
Check it out:
Though not the most popular figure PPP has polled, if God exists, voters are prepared to give it good marks. Voters approve of God’s performance by 52-9 margin, making God about as popular as Murdock is unpopular. When asked to evaluate God on some of the issues it is responsible for, voters give God its best rating on creating the universe, 71-5.
They also approve of its handling of the animal kingdom 56-11, and even its handling of natural disasters 50-13. Young voters are prepared to be more critical of God on natural disasters with those 18-29 rating it 59-26 compared to 47-12 among those over 65.
It? Really? And we’re comparing God’s numbers to Rupert Murdoch’s? Seriously?
As ridiculous as this is, the good news is that 52% means God stands a pretty good chance of getting reelected, I guess.
I wonder what the favorables are looking like nowadays for Old Scratch. I don’t know but I’d bet they’re climbing.

Brent, that is 52% approve 9% disapprove, not 61 people.

and on a positive note 39% didn't presume to answer the question

Well I'd still 'vote' for God! LOL
Are we gonna poll on evolution and gravity as well? Because I wanted to have 4 arms that can bend over better when I get an itchy back and weight 20 pounds less :PPP
Some polls are just silly…

Sorry, Matt, i usually read all your posts but this one is just so 'plenty silly' I couldn't make myself read it thru. Does anybody wonder anymore why Jesus & Mary call us "little children"? Talk about inane.

I think children are much more sensible. It takes a well-educated grownup to be that foolish.

I only wish I had the free time some people have to be conducting such silly polls.
