How touching!
Before anyone asks about how she speaks so well if born deaf, apparently she has had hearing aids in the past and has gotten by on reading lips: "My whole life I've been complimented on how well I speak. I don't really have an answer for you other than I have always had a passion for reading, grammar, and English. My hearing loss was/is considered severe to profound. I've worked very hard to be able to interact and blend in…..only thing I can say is 'God is good'."

My nephew was born almost completely deaf. He has bi-lateral cochlear implants. They are truly a miracle. He has the life of a normal eight year old. He doesn't like to turn them on first thing in the morning. He prefers some silence. Sounds nice actually.

Patrick,
Don't you remember that Catholics are anti-science? Please have this removed so we can return to our anti-science stance.

How did she get such perfect pronunciation of all her words and this is the first time she has ever heard? Amazing. Most deaf people's pronunciation is affected from not hearing. Yet this deaf person who is hearing for the first speaks as if she were never deaf or even hearing impaired. Again, amazing.
