A federal panel has just approved recommendations that boys as young as 9 years old (nine!) be vaccinated against a sexually transmitted disease.

Atlanta (CNN) — A federal government advisory committee voted Tuesday to recommend that boys as young as 11 be vaccinated against the human papilloma virus, commonly referred to as HPV.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) says the vaccine series can be started as early as age 9.

Twelve members of the committee voted in favor of the recommendation; one abstained.

HPV is the number-one sexually transmitted disease in the United States. At least 50% of sexually active people will get it at some point in their lives.

The HPV vote took place as part of the advisory committee’s meeting in Atlanta.

Of course, they have been pushing this for girls for years even going so far in some place to mandate it. But they haven’t gotten the buy in they want so now they are targeting boys.

I have boys 10, 8, and 6. And just so there is no ambiguity. Over. My. Dead. Body.

I love my boys. I want the best for my boys. And if some one trys to stick them for STDs, if someone even talks to them about STDs, I am gonna knock their teeth out.

Just so we are clear.
