Wow, wow, wow.
Rich Lowry breaks down the Des Moines Register poll which had Santorum in third at 15%.
That’s the four-day result. If just the last two days are taken into account, Romney is still at 24, Santorum jumps to 21, and Paul is down to 18. That means–in the word of the hour–Santorum has momentum. If Bachmann and Perry fade more at the end–and this poll result could hurt them–Santorum is within striking distance of a stunning upset.
Oh baby. Can Rick really pull this off? Gotta pull out my rosary.

Santorum Haunted by Support of Pro-abortion Specter
Saturday, 31 Dec 2011 07:06 PM
By Jim Meyers
Rick Santorum's endorsement of Arlen Specter, a strong supporter of abortion, who gave President Barack Obama the key Senate vote to pass Obamacare, is becoming a key issue as the Iowa Caucus nears.
Polls show that Santorum is seeing a last-minute surge in Iowa, but pro-lifers and pro-Christian groups are seeing red………….

He's SOOOOO pro-life and anti-abortion, isn't he??

I see no difference between Santorum, Romney and Obama. It's a vote for money changer bailouts and perpetual war.

Anonymous' link to the newsmax story doesn't work. Did a Google search and found the link a proper link.

God help us! These GOP candidates are a bunch of half-wits and scoundrels. Santorum? Is there a simpler tool to be found? I think not!

i'm praying for a Perry upset. Go Perry!

This New Yorker, who lived in Iowa for three years, is hoping for a miracle in the Hawkeye State.
Although he is imperfect, I would rather see Santorum than Romney or Paul.

Don't worry Karl, they're already plotting to move the Iowa caucus vote count to an ILLINOIS "undisclosed location"…to "protect" it. Romney will "win" first and Santorum will be second. Rahm will see to it. The fix is in.

I do not think Rick Santorum can win the nomination, but he could surprise us. And the longer he is in the race (even if he does not win) the better it makes the race.

Santorum is still not my dream candidate. (but my dream candidate is not in the race…)
However, I would happily vote for him over Romney, and I wouldn't have to hold back vomit as I pulled the lever, so at this point, Santorum looks like a decent outcome!

Santorum is an awful lot better than Romney, who I don't trust as far as I could throw him. Romney flat out lied in the debate against Santorum about his role in bringing gay marriage to Massachusetts–not the first time he's lied about that. My vote goes for Santorum.

The media is behind the idea that Santorum can't win. they're afraid of, and always want to ridicule a candidate that takes a stand for social conservative principal. Santorum's philosophy is built on a foundation that does not waiver, built on a foundation that recognizes the family as the main building block to Justice.
I'm praying for Rick!

Such conservative principle! I may barf.
