As Newsbusters put it, hell just froze over.
On The View, Barbara Walters defended Rick Santorums statements on radical feminism dismissing women who choose to stay home.
Well, maybe hell just got chilly instead of freezing over. The rest of the nasties on the view attacked Santorum on cue.

No, you STILL have to apologize for being a stay-at-home. When is the last time you saw "housewife" or "mother" on any paperwork? SAH moms barely have an existential category to the world anymore. Your job title is NONE.
Joy Behar is like a snarling dog on a chain. My blood presure goes up when I hear that voice…

Boy, did they all get FAT. Barbara WA Wa was playing "good cop, bad cop" There would be no story without both sides. Who would the other bash if nobody posted the terms. Boy, did Behar get FAT.

I think Walters did a really nice job explaining that; kudos to her!

I think Walters did a good job explaining, too, but she's wrong to say that women who choose to stay at home, especially those with college degrees, aren't still derided. I've seen it too often. I also think they don't know any young (ish-36) women who wish they could stay at home, but can't.

Lefty Baba Wawa loves Santorum.
Of course she does.

@anonymous 7:49 pm, other than on labor and gun control, Santorum is a by-the-book conservative. And—while I think he's wrong on both those issues—as president, he would be checked by Congress. The main issue with a president is "who would he appoint to the Court?", and Santorum would appoint conservative, strict-constructionist justices.
Besides, as you would know if you could figure out how to sign a name, the non-negotiables for the left in this country are the cultural ones, and on those, Santorum is anathema to them.
