This morning some bad unemployment numbers were released and the media seems extraordinarily worried about how threse numbers will effect normal American families. Oh wait, they don’t seem concerned with that at all.
The media is, however, obsessed with how these new unemployment numbers could affect the re-election chances of President Obama.
I’ve seen so many headlines like Bloomberg’s “Slow Job Growth May Weaken Obama Campaign.” Uniformly, they’re treating the unemployment numbers as something that happened TO Obama.
But I haven’t seen anywhere in the MSM, any analysis about how Obama influenced these poor employment numbers. No, I’ saw CNN this morning saying the real culprit is American’s lack of confidence in the economy is dragging these numbers down. Ah, so Obama is the victim of America’s cruel shaken faith.

I'm confused. Is this a Catholic blog or an anti-Obama blog?
Of course, some of Obama's politics certainly require Catholics to criticize and work against them….but his policies on unemployment don't seem to relate to Catholicism any more than any other politicians. They are all terrible.
You say the media is obsessed….maybe you are obsessed. Take a look in the mirror.

Obama's deconstruction of our government of checks and balances with his Executive Orders without the will of the people is tyranny. Obama's decreation of our founding principles is nothing less than treason. And you are worried about people being informed for informed consent at the polls. Catholicism is about FREEDOM, the FREEDOM God created for each and every person. FREEDOM is only found in a truly religious community. Some idiot told God that there would not be enough food to feed all of God's children and other idiots believed the first idiot. Idiots began eating their aborted children, putting these children of God into cosmetics and medical remedies and you are complaining about how another person uses his free speech to protect the citizens from Obama's infanticide and corruption as President of the United States. I would be thrilled if the unemployment rate was .00001%, that is, if every American who wanted one had a job and Obama was unemployed.

My hope is that each unemployed and under-employed person is registered to vote. I hope each of them is able to objectively see our current economic state. We, with them, need a clear realization of the 2008 lies we were told. No more edict, fiat or dictatorial (executive) orders in place of legislative processes. We must develop our own transparency as we review history from 1/20/09 to the present. Personal freedom and religious freedom must be restored and innocent life must be protected. Nobody's ever concerned about how unemployment figures relate to the average American family, least of all republicans. So, why is this about Obama? It's about Obama, b/c it's election season, and bad numbers drastically cut his chances of re-election.
