Fox News reports that a federal judge on Sunday temporarily blocked enforcement of a Mississippi law that could shut down the only abortion clinic in the state.
U.S. District Judge Daniel P. Jordan in Jackson issued a temporary restraining order the day the new law took effect. He set a July 11 hearing to determine whether to block the law for a longer time.
“Though the debate over abortion continues, there exists legal precedent the court must follow,” Jordan wrote.
The law requires anyone performing abortions at the state’s only clinic to be an OB-GYN with privileges to admit patients to a local hospital.
A big deal is being made of the fact that proponents of the law have stated that they’d like to see an end to abortion. But nobody seems to be saying that opponents of the law would like to see abortion stay legal.
But here’s the kicker – this judge was another George W. Bush appointee. Man, us conservatives don’t have great luck with judges do we?

Sounds like Neuremburg Trials: "I was only following directions (read precedent)"…of someone he elected to office. Judge forfeited his office as judge to save himself from being impeached.

And that, exactly, is the problem. True conservatism has never been supported by the Bush family and will not be supported by Romney or any of the elitists of the Republican party either.
The American experiment is over. The Republic is dead. RIP

What follows here is no defense of the judge, the law, or the so-called "right" to abortion.
Whether the judge ruled correctly or not may be subject to discussion, but one of the problems many of us have had with the judicial system is the very idea of "legislating from the bench." If a judge is placed in this position, it is at times because of a law that is unjust to begin with. Even Justice Scalia is quoted as saying, "You want to legalize abortion? Fine, change the law." This as opposed to expecting "nine hot-shot lawyers" to do it for you.

Hopefully the events of the past few days have finally stopped the "overturn Roe in the Courts" movement. It was never viable because the courts aren't viable. The only way is a constitutional amendment. And while that's being worked on, starve PP and the abortionists other and their friends. It's much easier to win hearts and minds when the other side is gasping for air.

Natural law seems to mean nothing any more to so many in places of power. We are all going to suffer more and more. Outside the natural law is chaos and dehumanization.
