For the first time in its 80-year history, Augusta National Golf Club has female members.
The home of the Masters, under increasing criticism the last decade because of its all-male membership, invited former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and South Carolina financier Darla Moore to become the first women in green jackets when the club opens for a new season in October.
Both women accepted.
Congratulations to the two new members. I can’t say that I am surprised by the invite, but maybe a little disappointed. Nothing against the women folk but men need places of their own too. I mean women have all kinds of places to themselves, Lucille Roberts, Michael Bolton concerts, kitchens. All kinds of places. All we had was Augusta National and the bathroom.
Now all we have is the bathroom. Wait…
“I’ll be out in a minute honey!”

My first thought was, "Can't you just leave the poor men alone?"

Why I love you guys!

It's not just that now men can't go to have a place to hang out with the guys. Now all those guys wives know there are ladies there, too.
I think it's great when my husband goes out to grab beers and wings with his buddies. If there were women going along, I'd make him stay home.

Where can a man find peace? At the altar! (at least in the Byzantine rite- no Extraordinary ministers and no female altar servers)
😉

What bathroom have men ever had to themselves? PW is right…the seminary is the only remaining sanctuary. Boo hoo.

The Priesthood is still safe from women, but the world is closing in.

Rover, while I must congratulate you on your performance art against the idea of human dignity, you're off-topic. Again.
Quite honestly, though, whatever the Hemlock Society is paying you, it's not enough. You are the best case for euthanasia I've ever seen.
Notice I didn't say you state the best case.

That sure was hateful.
